I am a football lover just like you. I love all things football stats and tactics, and I decided to start a RU-vid channel to connect with fellow football nerds. My end goal is to work professionally in the sport, and this channel may help me achieve that dream!💯💫
Hi mate, as you know a lot about football tactics If you could name 5 tactical trends currently in world football that you think football fans should know about what would they be?
One of the most noticeable trends in modern football is the emphasis on high-pressing and intense counter-pressing, Versatile Full-Backs and Overlapping Runs, Fluid Formations and Positional Play, The Rise of Hybrid Forwards, Sustainable High-Press and Energy Management. Teams are now placing a greater emphasis on winning the ball back high up the pitch, disrupting the opponent’s build-up play, and creating scoring opportunities from turnovers. #I think I have answered your question right??
On one hand this is quite a good video, you explain it kinda easy to understand and have a couple of good ideas. On the other hand... i dont want to be harsh but for me, a non native English, it was a extremely hard task understand you. Hope you do not take this like something bad, just my opinion.
You playing the cm alone in midfield wouldn’t work. He is surrounded by the opposition. You will only have the wings open to play. And that will cause a lot of counter attacks because you will have no control playing down the wings. Solution: Tell your other cm not to advance so high up the field and support the sitting cm. Also tell your Cam to drop a little deeper to connect with the 2 cms to have some control in the middle of the pitch. Tell your LB and RB to fly and stay wide and tell your wingers to come a little narrow
Good formation and illustration but this will backfire playing against fluid counter- attacking teams with pacy wingers and attacking fullbacks or a killer pass from their half can leave your defense begging
the CM can still mark the RB and use his cover shadow to prevent a pass into the CM in midfield but yeah the central overload is tough in this case I think a midblock is best
This is very simplistic and for me doesn't even touch on the most important dimension of a strikers game... Their real value comes in the box, finding space amidst congestion... Most of what you've touched on applies to the modern 8/10 more than the 9
