I lost the original audio file before I got to editing this real time video, so I re-recorded the audio. It doesn’t perfectly match. I’ve done that before for shorter parts within videos, when the original audio was too low, but never for a full video like this. And probably never will again…
Patreon link: www.patreon.com/IvyLilyCreative I started uploading and scheduling the first rewards since filming this video and noticed that Patreon limits image sizes more than I thought. (Video was also very slow to upload directly on Patreon.) So, I need cloud storage for the coloring pages, wallpapers and reference photos and I currently don't have enough to keep the backlist of them up. So, there will be a backlist of the ASMR audio and extended art videos, but the images will possibly disappear after each month, when I switch them out for the new ones.
I use cardioid pattern mode and the gain is pretty high, because the art sounds I'm recording are low. That means it picks up more background noise too, so many of my ASMR art sounds videos were filmed at night to reduce background noise. If I'm recording a voiceover, I just record in a room with the door and window closed and curtains closed to reduce echo and background noise. But if I'm filming a talking head type of video, I can't close the curtains because I use natural light for those. So they have a little more echo.
I'm not sure if you still read the comments on this one since it's older, but this was really relaxing, being able to just sit outside and enjoy the beauty of nature while you draw must be so peaceful, the setting for this one was beautiful. Thanks for making this!
I tried recording this one with the microphone on my phone. It's an easier way for me to record painting videos, but is the audio good enough? I don't have any particular recommendation. I've found them at the arts and crafts section of local stores. You can also find a lot of online stores that sell them, some for very cheap, but in my experience the shipping times might be long and since they ship them in as small packages as possible to save in shipping costs, they might arrive wrinkled.
The one I did in this video is 20x25 cm (7.9 x 9.8 inches), but I don't know if you can find the same picture in the same size anymore. I have an amazon link in the video description to this picture in a bigger size, but I think it's out of stock.
