I love the Chuck wagon gang! I have geard them since I was a child, ill soon be 84 and i would love to hear them on person. If they ever come close to my area,i hope I'm able to go .
WOW--WEE! Their vocal range is limitless! Stellar instrumentalists, as well, to accommodate all the "key" changes. As a kid growing up in the 1950's and 1960's, woke up EVERY Sunday morning hearing "The Chuck Wagon Gang" and "The Happy Goodman Family". Now I am getting OLD, and miss those days. I could have lain in bed listening to CWG indefinitely; but the folks would roust me to get dressed for Sunday School! O well ... thanks for recordings!
Love these Guys! I listen to them singing over and over. Miss Norman Wilson with that Tenor Voice. Such a blessing to these Men!!!! Jeff and Randy and Regan. , Larry. MIKE SUCH GOOD CHRISTAIN GUYS!!! YES JESUS IS COMING SOON.
Me and my wife have been to see Bob Seger 3 times! I had Running Against the Wind on the hood of my truck! Will always remember this amazing Entertainer from Ann Arbor Mi.
I first heard your group in the late 60s on Saturday night radio show the mull singing convention. Y’all are my favorite group ever. Thanks for keeping the music ringing out.
I am 71 years old and remember my dad playing Chuck wagon gang records when I was very young. Thank you and the ones who preceded you for many years of pleasure listening to you praise the lord
Who′s that a' comin′ down that lonesome road? Who's that a bringin' such a heavy load? Who′s that a wearin′ such an awful face? It must be the devil and his old suitcase! Who's that a′ knockin' on my front door? Who′s that a tryin' to get in once more? Who′s that a sayin'," I like your place"? It must be the devil and his old suitcase. Who's that a leavin' like he did before? The blues he gives you, will only get you down, oh yes, oh yes And if he gets you, he'll turn your happy hours upside down. Who′s that a leaving from my front door? Who′s that a leavin' like he did before? Who′s that a sayin'," I hate that grace"? It must be the devil and his old suitcase. Who′s that a leavin' from my front door? Who′s that a leavin' like he did before? Who's that a sayin′," I hate that grace? It must be the devil and his old suitcase. It must be the devil and his old suitcase!
I sat here and watched this family for hours tonight...first time I ever saw them and I saw Lewis go from 15 years old to 37, and only saw him smile a couple of times. LOL Great music!
I wish Stan would sing the first line in the chorus as written, instead of going down to a lower note. He goes down to the 1 instead of the 5th. He needs to hear Brian Free sing this! (Not to mention his rudely waving the bass player away.)
I am not qualified to analyze what motivates Roy's antics but I, for one, find all the zaniness distracting. I hang around anyway for the wonderful music.
Praise the Lord if that doesn't touch anyone's heart they are something wrong such a beautiful song and so true amen thank the Lord for that beautiful song
