Hi, yes, I can use them with brushes or dip pens. I experimented and put the ink inside my fountain pen but ink seemed very weak, almost like diluted with water when compared to a proper writing ink. I will be making some experiments with those inks soon. (I will post the videos)
@@aniamartaart Caran d’Ache currently has a collaboration with artist Beya Rebai and they released two limited edition sets of Neocolors by Beya Rebai. They’re pretty, just not my preference.
Hey Ania, your video is peaceful to watch... And you art is therapeutic... Btw I am Upasna this side, I'm a subscriber now... Happy to connect with you over here
What a lovely composition, im glad to have found you. I too have roses blooming but only have time for one love at the moment. I love to art as well, but gardening is all i can do right now.
Hello and warm welcome :) Thank you for your lovely comment. These are very fragrant roses (from David Austin) Sadly they don't last very long, especially when it is raining. They are climbing type, Im training them to go over pergola. Gardening is so relaxing, glad you found thing you love :)
aww cute perogi kneaded eraser! :) I used to keep my art things in a container just like yours, I got it in the fishing section of a local outdoors store. It's all I could find at the time. I miss it D:
@@aniamartaart i have lost most of my possessions a few times and had to stop art due to extreme health problems. i've had health problems since birth. doctors think its a genetic disease. things are much better for me now though. i still have constant pain, and have some rough days but its not anywhere near as bad as it was. plus now i have a desk and some shelves so i can have things again! i ordered a new caddy yesterday and i got new paints a few weeks ago. :) it's so nice to use them. ive never seen anyone else use an organizer like that before! i think they're so convenient. especially for when you're too ill to get out of bed and are short on space. it's fast to have everything you need. i had completely forgotten about it.
This is a good idea to have actually; a caddy. I always have a small, catch metal tray only for the materials I use at the moment and then I put the supplies back in their designated areas. Really handy to have your most used supplies on hand.
Hi Chris! That's a good idea too :) I also love my little on wheen tray with three tiers that I just wheel around (for bigger things like paint palettes, paper, jars etc)
This is the first video of yours I am seeing and I am subscribing! I am in architecture school and we have to take rendering courses and I am loving working with different mediums all on one drawing. I personally love derwent inktense, I received the studio palette of the watercolor pans as a gift. They are my go-to! One day I hope to try the Carandache crayons. I think I would love the texture. I use a dip pen with expressive nibs to add contrast back to finished lines. Great video, I really enjoyed!
Hi and thank you for subscribing :) You have amazing career ahead of you, how exciting! Yes, keep experimenting and try things out. You can sometimes buy one off (for example Neocolor 2 crayon) instead of the whole set to see if you like it. I did this with different colour pencils/markers. Which dip pens are you using? All dip pens I have have such thin line, Im looking for something more expressive. Thank you <3
Thought I replied already but I don’t see it now 😅😅 I use deleter pen nibs! They’re made for manga artists and so they have several Interchangeable pen nibs that are for different purposes in manga drawing but obviously, they’re great outside of that! Some have great flexibility for really varied line weights. I bought them 5-6 years ago in a starter kit on Amazon, so they must not have been too pricey.
Thank you Carmen, I am glad you enjoyed it :) It was interesting to look back, to see that I made some progress and made quite a lot of artwork over time, it all added up :)
I did fill up 3x5 pocketbooks, but once they were full and I'd hang onto them a few years, created masterworks from them, I'd toss the pocketbook. Nice to see your work.
I never kept my art. I worked as a commissioned artist and sold by word of mouth so i didn't have a bunch of art lying around. Now that I'm older than dirt and watching this I kinda wish I did more just to keep
Hi, I just found your channel, and decided to watch this first. I am very glad I did as it gave me a short cut into who you are. I can see by a glance at your thumbnails you are talented and have much to impart. And now I know you have a lovely personality to match. I have subscribed. I live in Scotland. I am very much a beginner and hope to progress with watercolours, watercolour pencils, Neo color II and many others. I appear to have enough supplies to last several lifetimes, and little idea how to use them. 😳😳
Hi Anita! Thank you for your comment and subscribing :) Such a sweet comment. I am trying to navigate the whole youtube thing and trying to be brave to post out there, even though I'm not always happy with my work. You have all the materials, now you can sit back and start drawing/painting, creating :) (I know, I will never use up all my art supplies, maybe Ill pass them to my future grandchidren one day 😅
I agree about the music. Since you are open to the subject, I find music most pleasing when the artist is quietly creating and the music is accompanying the images. When the artist is speaking, the music is silent. What you have to say is important! I feel that way when I'm watching movies, too. Thanks for showing your mixed media supplies. I will check out more of your videos.
Ania, Thanks so much for answering my question and allowing me to have hope in my art journal journey. I’m 60. And I am always watching videos of people that paint , that is how I found you. But I always thought you had to go and get a degree. I will follow your advice to practice every day.
Hi Carmen, you are very welcome! I had exactly the same thoughts few years ago. Just get few art supplies, sketchbook and start creating :) It' your time and yo can do it :) It is never too late. Lot's of amazing artists are self taught. <3
Hi Carmen, thank you so much for subscribing and for your question :) I will make a video for you on this topic, was thinking all day today how to answer you best way. I will gather my notes and find quiet day to record for you. :) ( I am pretty much self taught.)
Thank you Ania! I had to think a bit on the Desert Rose you listed ... I've had my set for a long time and until you swatched it, I realized it used to be called "Flesh." Ah ... found it. You've hit on so many of my favorites ... just love the palette you put together.
Hi Katherine, you are welcome, I'm glad you found it useful. That makes sense, maybe they changed it to make everyone happy (including vegetarians ;) Honestly, this muted, organic looking palette makes me so happy!
Hi Katherine, I just recorded a video for you :) Hope I pronounced your name correctly, its been a long day 😅 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-c44Ql9xLYeA.html
I also joined Immersion 2024! I am having quite a bit of anxiety about the cost and it's making it so hard to feel excited right now ... I am trying to power through and keep a positive mental attitude! It is so scary to know if it will be worth it! You touched on some of my fears, should I just take classes on Skillshare etc to learn Illustrator. In the end, I am trying to find peace in the fact that I am worth $2000 and the things I care about are worth $2000 and my experiences in life are worth $2000. (Deep Breath In.....and out......) I am 41 also. Good luck to you ! I hope we both find what we are looking for!!
Hi Jeanne! I totally understand you. I have to say that I have placed that anxiety behind me and feel like I have 100% energy to go into this course. (I have to admit, I wish there was no delay in starting, as I feel like I have to wake myself up now again, but that's OK. Don't feel bad, think which emotions will benefit you. You have enrolled now - which is super brave of you and enjoy the whole process. I think that you can never have another first-the learning experience again, so just enjoy it. Let go of the guilt and anxiety, believe in yourself <3 Also, feel free to connect to me directly if you would like an accountability buddy info@aniaphoto.co.uk
Thank you so much for this video Ania! I really wanted to join Immersion this year, but the cost is really high for me right now. Hopefully next year! I would love to hear your review of the course once you finish. Enjoy and good luck!
I totally understand. You have to be very careful with big spends/investments like this. You can still learn a lot from youtube in meantime and come back when you are ready. (That's pretty much what I did last year)Thank you, I will report back. :)
