@@jeffkravitz9109 Hi Jeff. The humidity is high. Especially in the hot season. I keep thinking I'll get used to it but hasn't happened yet, LOL. Thank goodness for air con.
@@anubous The drainage system is really good where our home is. So many parts of town and surrounding areas are getting flooded. It's pouring again right now. Thank you so much for watching. Many more videos to come. Wayne
Great Video ! Hua Hin is expected to get a lot of tourist starting next month when High Season kicks off, rental house prices I have been monitoring are already up for the coming season. Hope all is well !
@@AjayRohaz Hi Ajay. Yes tourists travel season comes soon. I'm sure rentals and other things go up in price. We haven't been here long enough to see high season but since we live here now we'll experience it for sure soon enough. Hope you're doing great. Thanks for watching. Wayne
Are the places in Hua Hin that has less farangs? Where ever there are farangs the prices are so expensive. Hua hin is almost like little British and US, not good.
@@AJ-ww6qs Hi AJ. We have only lived here in Hua Hin since July. Many places here to still explore. I do see lots of foreigners in downtown mostly. Malls and restaurants there. We live about 4.5 miles outside of downtown and it's mostly Thais here. I can't really say what's good or not. We're from the US and we're all not bad. Sorry couldn't help more. Thanks for watching.
We hope that all foreigners will have an enjoyable stay in Thailand. We welcome everybody and really appreciate that you have chosen Thailand for your retirement. ❤ Cheers by a new subscriber from Thailand
@@Bababobododo Thank you so much for watching. We moved here in July and love it here. Thai people are so nice. Thank you for subscribing. More videos to come. Wayne
It doesn't look like you walked far enough around the hill from where you were to a stairway (not the first steps you climbed) that leads up a charming tiny Wat at the top where the view gets even better. There are a few little stalls selling garlands and minor refreshments. To the left, at the bottom of the stairway to the Wat, the path goes to Chinese style Buddhist statues. On the walk along the path, there are many monkeys and an intriguing line painted across the path which states 'No Monkey's Past this Line'....and amazingly they do not pass. Hua Hin and the surrounding area has some of my favourite parts to explore in Thailand. Sam Roi Yot is a wonderful adventure to but it may take a few days to explore fully. The beaches get even better a few kilometres south. I hope you enjoy Hua Hin as much as I do, It might not have all the glizt of some other touristy places in Thailand, but Hua Hin's charm slowly reveals some magical places from bars to beaches and mountains. Happy trails to you and your wife.
@@davidslowhand5172 Hi David. I didn't walk all the way around. I'll have to go back and in further into it. I took the first tall steps up. I saw other small buildings and a temple on the next hill. Thanks for the info. I will revisit and explore more. We have been a bit South a couple times down to PKK and SRY. We have so much more to explore and see. Cheers Wayne
Right there at the end of the beach I swim for the first time in Thailand In February 2014 :) It looked quite different there before they built the hotel/apartment house there.
@@brjkiss There were people swimming right at the end of the beach behind the huge rocks against the hill. Looked like a great spot to enjoy the beach and swim. Thanks for watching much more to come. Cheers, Wayne
Looks perfect ! I am a morning person and love exploring with no one around and Khao Takiab fits perfect ! Where I live is new and everything is manicured to be perfect, but I love the urban "unkept" look better. Feels right for Thailand and Hua Hin and its history. Great Views and not many monkeys out yet ! I see the areas like Pattaya, Phuket, Chaing Mai, and Bangkok and would not live in any of those places, Hua Hin is very special compared ! A+ video and keep them coming !! Just came from Seattle after a business trip and as you know the states and cities are a mess and now more dangerous.
@@AjayRohaz Hi Ajay. Thank you. It was a very quiet morning. Not many people around yet. Even the monkeys except for a few were still not out. I love that time of day. The views there are amazing. You can see up the coast for miles. Started getting much busier in the area when I left. We might head out tomorrow and explore. Will video if it's interesting. Thanks for watching Ajay. Chat again soon. Wayne
My wife and I love the location. Underwhelming,no,not really, the lifestyle is at peace. Peak season is a bit too busy. We try not to promote Hua Hin,we just love being there too much. Home sickness comes to mind when we are not there and try pacifying those feelings when we are not there by watching vlogs like yours. Try the locals restaurant just a very short distance from where you are.
@@robinhooper4126 Hi. Thank you for responding. I think I felt it underwhelming because I've seen so many videos saying how awesome it is so maybe I went in with higher hopes. The views are amazing. Climbing to the top it was not as expected. Very run down and almost abandoned. I would go back for a drink or lunch and sit at one the tables with the beautiful view of the coast. Wife and I moved here in July and are still exploring all over including places to eat. So many awesome local places to eat. The locals are so friendly and welcoming. Thank you for watching and hope you subscribed. Lots more to come that includes travels outside this area and more. Cheers, Wayne
If you've been here let me know what you thought about your visit. I think there's great views and it's worth a visit. I was underwhelmed of what it could be for such a great location. Many parts are very run down and in disrepair. Monkeys weren't a problem at all as I actually only saw three.
@@jordantran69 It's a great place. So many places to visit and great eats. People are so friendly. Let us know when you visit. Would love to hear about it.
@@jordantran69 Thank you. Have you and your partner been here before? Is a great place to visit. So much to see and do just in the Hua Hin alone. Thank you so much for watching we have much more coming. Cheers Wayne and Jayme

Good video :) Im happy to find a good youtuber from Hua hin. This is steal Hua hin Beach. The real Takiab beach start on the sout side of Khao Takiap mountain. But alot people cal it Takiab beach down there because of the area
@@brjkiss Oh OK thank you. I was going by what Google maps said. But good to know for future reference. I find Google maps here in Thailand isn't always accurate. Do you live here? Wife and I moved here in July and love it. Still so much to see and do. Thanks for watching, Wayne.
@@weretiredtothailand2024 I see it on google to but some in my Thai wife family that live there told me. Even Takiab beach has 3 different names depending on where on the beach you are. Yes google maps is not 100% but helps me a lot :) I dont live there but Hua hin is like my "home" town in Thailand.
@@brjkiss Yes Google maps helps me lots also. Especially driving directions. Even driving directions shows you roads that don't exist, LOL. Have a great day, Wayne
Great way to start the morning !! I am a morning person, wake up at 5am every morning here in St. Louis :) I love that Hua Hin has morning sunrise over the beach :)
Thanks for the tip on where the printing place is, I’ll be there soon and I’m going to have to make copies of my passport and stamp so I can get my Thai drivers license
@@johnmellyn2700 The one printing place in Bluport mall is sometimes not open it seems lately. There's also a place I've been using lately at Market Village Mall. It's near the food court on the same level. Are you moving here or visiting? We moved here two months ago. Thanks for watching John. Wayne
Tell me more about your health insurance etc. Yearly, monthly, did you use an agent. We will be back in Hua Hin in February again. Looking at condo's perhaps. I missed that shortcut to the beach last time. We will be staying near the Tamarind market again. Love the food.
@@robinhooper4126 Hi Robin. Thank you for watching. We searched quite a few companies for health insurance. Our big problem was pre existing conditions. Many companies won't cover you for that. I Wayne have pre existing Heart conditions. I found Pacific Cross does cover this with a two year wait period till your covered. Signing up was really easy. You'd have to check with them for coverage you want and the cost of that coverage. Check around with different insurance companies to see what fits your needs best. We love Tamarind Market. The Square Coconut Pancakes are awesome. Thank you for watching the channel. Hope you liked it enough to subscribe. Many more videos coming. Cheers, Wayne
Very good video and informative and like you , we have also driving past it and always said to each other " We should visit that place on the way home, but it never happens mainly because we are wither too tired and just wanting to get home or we just forget on the way back. It looks incredible very well laid out and presented , and I imagine that it would have cost a lot to establish. I would be very surprised that would be making a profit , could not help noticing how empty it was whilst you were there, maybe it would have been better placed in Bangkok,Pattaya or Phucket where of course most tourists visit though the busy season is only 2-3 months away so perhaps they get enough visitors if the 3-4 months to make if financially viable. Could I make a suggestion that perhaps inform viewers on how to get there or add a Google location . cheers Willie
@@BraveFartz Thank you for watching. It's a big well taken care of place. So I didn't complain about the slightly higher cost of the coffees. Good suggestion on adding the location. I'll add a link to it and try to remember to get that info in the future videos. Thanks for the idea it helps. Cheers Wayne
It's seems the only people that have issues with this is foreigners and not the Thai people themselves. I've asked many Thai's how to say it and have been told several ways. I'm sure I'm saying it somewhat wrong but that's OK. Thanks for watching. Wayne

Oh, dear. So, let me break it down for you in the simplest terms possible. Laundry is basically this incredible invention where you take your dirty clothings and other stuff like, idk, blankets-yes, those things you use every day and somehow manage to get dirty-and put them into a machine. This machine, called a washing machine (it's not a high-tech marvel, just a standard appliance), then uses water and detergent to clean them. After that, you transfer these now clean fabrics to a different machine called a dryer, or if you're feeling very old-fashioned, you can hang them up to dry. Voilà! Your clothes are clean and ready to wear again. It’s not rocket science, but I suppose everyone has to start somewhere.
@@Raprada So all the snot that was rubbed from the blanket and her snot filled fingers to the seat itself and she wiped all over the seat arms, wiped on the video screen and everything else she spread her lovely snot on fits in these new things called washing machines? And before you say all those can be cleaned also, the airlines don't disinfect and fully clean all that between flights. But thanks for taking the time to comment and filling me in.
My speed? The video makes it look like your going faster than you actually are. I am a very cautious driver. Just a matter of getting used to driving in a different Country. It's all good.
