John yes yes yes i wood agree 💯 that the fish tech chart's definitely are top class . I have been there , done that with PB'S of 23.36 kg comen and 17.27 kg mirror . I stopped specimen carp angling in 2013 due to working and not having time to do those long sessions any more . For me the contour maps made the biggest difference back then . The fistec chart's nowadays are state of the art . You are 💯 percent correct in saying all the exesories is just a tool to help the angler .

I see you mapped Jozini Dam. Would you say Tiger behaviour would be the same as bass ? From my years of fishing there they seem to be far more nomadic .. interested to hear your view !
Hi Lourens, unfortunately I cannot get my charts to work on Humminbird or Garmin units. May I suggest you add a standalone Lowrance unit (anything from HDS Gen2 and EliteTi) to run my charts.

The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

I have had mine 2 weeks and it worked 1 day. Mine is doing the same thing. Anyone buy one I would wait. I wish I had bought the Garmin. Nobody knows show to fix this.

Hi John , i have 2 fish finders, fs9 & elite 7 hds. The engine data appears on the HDS but a blank screen on the FS unit. The backbone is connected correctly. Please advise what can i do
