Traditional folk music tells a story. It has been said that by listening to its music, you can visit a country through time and collective experience. Folk music has an extremely important role for us and belongs to the oldest artistic expressions. It was and still is a part of our life - ceremonies, entertainment, leisure, the whole thinking and feelings of people. The lives of people in the background of history were reflected by the folk songs. Slovak and Slavic (Slavonic) folk music has regional character - songs and orchestras are different from region to region and differentiates also by instrument composition. Traditional folk music has been defined in several ways: as music transmitted by mouth, as music of the lower classes, and as music with unknown composers. It has been contrasted with commercial and classical styles.
Can anyone tell me the name of this song and who the original singer / musician is? My 97 year old Grandfather recently passed away. He was born in 1926 in Liesek in the Orava Region (Zilina Oblast) and spent more than 60 years in Canada - 50 plus in British Columbia.
Krásne piesne združujú ľudí ktorí majú radi Život a Mier ☮️ je krásna budúcnosť pre Naše deti a vnúčatá ❤️ Ďakujem 🇸🇰❤️🌷 Mier ☮️ celému svetu 🌎🌍❤️❤️❤️🌹🌹🌹
Wonderful song <3 Is it about Kyjov in Moravia? Or is there another Kyjov somewhere? Also why is there a clarinet - that's so typical for Moravian music.. Does this song have anything to do with Moravia and if so how come? :)
