This character NEEDS a balance patch, Like, this slugcat is pretty cool designwise and spritewise, but there's no kill power and their weight is so absurdly low they make Maypul look like a superheavyweight?????
*gentle gasp* Goose Howard!? From Fatal Nights at Fury!? This character looks super fun to play and the custom sprites are all really good, but that makes the sprite rip projectiles all the more jarring IMHO Also, I'm really looking forward to October- the spooky bois that are already out are super fun to play!
Rayman from Rayman's Origins? God I love that game. I remember I had a crush on Betilla and her thick AF Nymph fairy sisters. They had no business looking so breedable and thick like that.

@@DragonQueen69 and yet she still looks cuter to me than she does hot. I mean yeah, she's hot too, but also breedable just seems like a really freaking weird word to use in this context.
This is probably hands down my favorite custom game mode stage so far- moreso than any of the boss fight stages on the workshop so far too. I really hope there's an influx of people making sure their workshop characters are compatible with this stage because it's soooo fun
hey! honestly i was NOT expecting you to cover the demon horde game mode, let alone a bar-kun week?? that's awesome thank you so much! i'm glad you enjoyed the game mode too, it was actually something that i wanted to do back when i made bar (the buddy too), so it's a really cool way to close the circle for me! and now bar's tip of the day: the demons are actually NOT players, they are stage objects that have player logic somewhat recreated on them, and since the hud is a custom hud i created, devs need to add compatibility for their characters to function with hit based mechanics (like building meter on hitting enemies) or status effects, aswell as add compatibility to show the hud i really wish this was something i could just do but sadly this is the best we got, so only characters that are compatible with the mode will be able to use it to the fullest (and basecast to the best of my ability) thanks for playing and enjoying the things i put up all these years, it really means a lot for me to see people having fun with my work
hi again lmao yeah asra was def made to be the easier of the two, glad you like her too! i'm actually always swinging back and forth for if i like venus or asra more cuz they both offer entirely different experiences from each other that i just can't pick in general i think it's awesome that i managed to make both options exist, i was really conflicted on which one i actually wanted to make more but i ended up choosing both, which was surprisingly more comfortable than i thought oh yeah and one last thing - bar, venus and asra all have a different variant of their final smashes when you use the rune version which give them really cool effects at the end of the attacks thought i should point it our since you showed the buddy version
@@KahJinn venus, asra, the outskirts invasion gamemode and the mysterious friend buddy are my final work for rivals of aether, i want to move on to bigger and greater things and besides, even if i did continue, i don't wanna tread the same ground twice, i'd rather go for a series i never made than go back to one i have
Hey, creator of Amvira (and now Ao Oni) here, I've been watching your videos lately, and I really wanted to give you Big Kudos™for shining a much needed spotlight on the OC characters people upload to the Rivals Workshop. I felt a little bad after uploading Ao Oni (an IP character, not an OC) because he somewhat overshadowed some seriously much cooler characters like this one. Speaking honestly I know your platform is not as big as it deserves to be but I think you're the only Rivals RU-vidr who covers OC characters and that's seriously appreciated! ✌
Asra is such a cool and fun character to play, tbh I think I prefer her to Venus just because she's a fair bit easier. Absolute peak gamefeel! (I swear I have no idea how I keep managing to keep stumbling onto these videos literally the minute they get released)
hey! first off thank you for your compliments and i'm glad you liked one of my last characters (and sorry about not making you in the game in my workshop career lmao), i plan on transitioning into full on gamedev over time, and i feel like workshop really prepared me well for that! also, felt i should point out 3 things: 1. the bug you saw is a practice mode only bug where you pressed taunt and down/up, not down special, should probably fix that at some point i just kinda forgot about that (if you are wondering it's because the taunt + down/up input resets your state and you used it on respawn which makes her invisible) 2. the description at the time had an error (i just fixed it), the runes aren't more durable with more charges, they simply increase the power which players, projectiles and objects bounce off the rune. i forgot to change it on release cuz i wrote the description ahead of time, my bad lol 3. swift jump is actually when you land and press jump like the slide kick, it sends her high into the air to about djump height, it's basically a mario triple jump in practice
I actually had a fair bit of time to play Rivals the other day with some friends, and I played a fair bit of Venus- you definitely picked her up waay faster than I could, but definitely the most valuable skill to have with her is learning to tech off her reflectors so you don't die haha Also is this the first video where you used the final smash buddy? That's sick and I hope you keep using it for other characters with final smashes! Also also yeah its sad that Bar kun is retiring from modding now… Seems like all the best creators are either retiring or being rightfully cancelled :(
glad you played her too! and yeah, i do want to transition to full on game dev now, i think after 4 years it's been a long time coming (but you'll probably see my name pop up here and there regardless!)

To answer your question I feel like I'm probably the odd one out when it comes to the highlight reel in the beginning?? No idea. Also before I forget again I *need* to suggest Ms. Sandbert as a character to cover.
