Hello!!! This is the channel about London. I upload here movies from walking tours in London!! Feel free to SUBSCRIBE this channel and visit regularly!!
Thanks for the video! I'm from Montreal. I'll be visiting Canary Wharf this spring. If I want to take pictures at plateform level, do I have to Tap in & tap out to go at this place? Also, If I want to go back to London Gateway from this station, there is no direct line I thank. I have to go back to Poplar and then, take the DLR up to London Gateway? Correct? Thanks again!!
@bobvila1010 If You want to take picture on the platform it's fine.If You want to go to Tower Gateway from there, just take the train toward Bank and change at Shadwell
I never realised Southend had more than three named stations - Southend Central, Southend Victoria and Southend Airport are all well-known to me, but this is the very first time I've come across Southend East.
Always love your London walk, London tube and London bus videos. About time I bought you a coffee! Thanks for all you do to share London (and the suburbs) with others.
I recall living in Poyser Street and sleeping in the flats opposite this train line, while the smoke came through the bedroom window - that was around 1948.
You could be in Bristol, Manchester, Dublin, Newcastle, Cheltenham, even Reims, Betrlin, etc., etc. etc. !!!!!! Soulless and without any dustinguishing character! Sad, so sad.,
I agree with you, it does look quite boring. But this shopping centre is in Oxford, and if you go to the older parts, the centre, it is one of the most beautiful cities in England. I personally would much rather visit Oxford than Manchester or London.
There are so many gorgeous Oxford university sites, like the Botanical Gardens, the Natural History museum, the Bodleian library. Real, traditional Oxford is full of soul and character.
@francescajx - The point being made was that these universal looking malls ultimately ruin the wonderful character of any city. An insoluble point being modernisation versus retaining the exclusive charm and character of any town or city plus encouraging visitors and tourists.
They pulled our factory down in 90/91, Magnolia Mouldings, was around 145 next to the Vortex Jaz Bar set back a bit with a couple of derelict shops on the front. Squatters turned it into a night attraction just before it was destroyed. Looks like some expensive modernish flats now with the archway at the front. In the 6 parties they put on , some of the best Punk/ travelling bands played there. RDF, Citizen Fish, Radio Mongolia, Salad from Atlantis and many more. The good old days.
