Yes for sure. Generally the growth plates are almost near closure by 15 years of age. We perform the acl reconstruction in almost the same fashion as for adults in such cases.
Graft extraction doesn’t make the knee weaker. But the fact that you have had multiple injuries and surgeries takes its toll on the structures inside the knee and the muscles around.
I get hamstring tear after 30days ACL surgery. After 30days surgery, I get 1st hamstring tear, after 17days hamstring tear I get 2nd times tear again at hamstring same place. Why I can get tear on hamstring?

For Hamstring grafts - a small incision is taken on the anteromedial tibia, for BTB grafts - a small incision on the patellar tendon (front of the knee), for Quadriceps graft - a small incision just above the patella (kneecap).

My ACL has partial tear. It's stretched (elongated) causing instability in joint. Thus causes repeated meniscus injuries. With preserving exiting ACL & adding artificial graft needs drilling in tibia & femur ? Will the existing ACL & artificial graft cells merge (fuse) together to form a stronger ACL ?
If the partial ACL tear has healed well or you have coped well with the injury - you should not have instability - and hence no further risk of meniscus damage. If you have persistent instability - it means that Acl surgery - most likely reconstruction - will be needed to give stability to the knee. Most of the times we try to preserve the existing Acl bundle. the new graft and pre-existing Acl bundle will function together.

@@one.sachin generally post Acl reconstruction and meniscus repair we advocate 3 weeks no weight bearing, 4th week toe touching, 5th week 50% weight bearing, 6th week full weight bearing. Walker is weaned off at 6 weeks. At 8 weeks walking, stairs and driving should be comfortable. Gym at 3 months, sport specific training at 4-5 months, return to sports between 6-9months.

Generally Indian females - have smaller footprints (smaller size) of the acl. Hence single bundle Acl reconstruction is more appropriate. All inside technique with fiber tape is a good option if hamstring grafts are used. We generally prefer BTB grafts in most professional athletes.
