First off your price is off, I paid over $40 bucks for 1 bottle. Second, your polishing a brand new wheel , oh no it’s a week or 2 old with a few water spots 😱 so your not doing the product justice. Show me what it can do on old wheels 🛞 I just bought a 92 g20 van and it has aluminum wheels , did I waste my money on this product? 🤷🏻♂️ idk have not tried it yet, but as far as this video showing what it can do? This wouldn’t make me rush out to buy it , just saying . And in the beginning of your video you were like this isn’t like other polishes don’t have to shake it, then you start showing how to use it? And you shy shake it ! What ever dude🤷🏻♂️
My price wasn’t off this is what the rep from renegade told me to say after they sent me a bottle from them before it was on their website. On their website it’s $31.50 and I said they had plenty of discount codes at the time for getting it cheaper. Again this wheel was about a week old if you used your ears and listened where I said stated it was a new wheel and had road grime from driving which is normal when you drive a truck lol. Do you not shake a bottle before you use polish? Clearly you couldn’t understand what I was saying since I said this type of polish isn’t as thick as a regular polish so therefore you wouldn’t have to shake it or as much. I also said this is a product for a clean and quick polish but again I can see your ears don’t work. Next time please listen and comprehend before you comment some ignorant stuff.
Oh damn I thought the bottle is for AFTER the airways. I hit it after and started looking all cloudy so I redid it and just did the airways. The kit doesn’t really have instructions
In my opinion it is. Sometimes I go from yellow and brown or orange and brown to white with blue or purple. Just depends on what condition the wheels are in
Just have to way out the pros and cons for your budget. Chrome is easier to clean but they start to pit in the long run. Polished looks amazing but is a decent amount to keep them clean. In my opinion polished is worth the money since as long as you regularly wash and throw a good had polish on you they’ll last forever
Not going to lie when I first started polishing, the spokes were the hardest and I always did them last since I spent the most time on them. I keep like a medium kind of pressure on them and do even passes. I also tap the trigger when close to the edges instead of going wide open since the wheel catches and wants to jump out of your hand. Hope this helps!
Any kind of a ph neutral soap. Nothing with acid or strong bases. Chemical guys makes some good stuff you can get off your local auto parts store. I also have another video of unboxing detailing products (including soap) from renegade.
You could have washed them. They weren’t but a week old nor had they been rode on since I had them mounted so I wanted to see how it would come out with having been only rained on. The terry cotton cloth was brand new and won’t scratch the aluminum. In the future yes I would 100% wash them and then do this process though!
@@thekolbyward right on bro, is it better to hand polish with a terry cloth first then wipe with a microfiber? Or microfiber can be used hand polishing and wiping off?
I use zephyr pro40 at times for blending after i am done using buffs. Best way to use it is to use it on a 6" microfiber polishing pad on a DA polisher with like a 9mm, 15mm, or 21mm throw to the action. As far as Renegade I use it to but I use the PRO RED and not the standard red. PRO RED is for guys who use buffs after they buff. I apply it same way as Zephyr pro40
That is interesting. I only use it after cutting to remove the left over compound before I switch up and color. Once I use the cotton wheel and green or blue coloring compound, I don't touch the wheel again. Putting hand polish on it is just making more work. If Im just touching them up at or before a show I do it by hand
I charge minimum $400 a set. This also varies on what condition they are, but a decent set I start at $100 a rim unless they need curb rash or sanding and at that point it all depends on what your time is worth. Hope this helps!
do not do memphis subs for the love of god. if u want something that sounds good sadly you will need to go sealed box. as for subs. sundown high end line, b2 or m mats is good and they are from jupiter fl
Very good easy to follower Video!....Question, after all that work, do you advise coating them with a ceramic coating as a sealer / protector or do you advise against it? With all the craze on the ceramic coating don't want to run with the crowd if you know what I mean.
Thank you brother! Honestly, sealing the wheels just makes it more work for a polisher. The aluminum will eventually start to oxidize under it and turn a yellowish brown color and the polisher will have to sand the wheel completely before polishing. I recommend a good wash and hand polish every couple weeks depending on where you live.
Not at all. Ceramic coating over time yellows and makes the polishing process a nightmare for a polisher. It makes more work because of having to sand clear off the wheels before polish which means you spending more money. Just a quick wash and hand polish every other week would be ideal
Imagine commenting something you have no idea about… yikes lol. The projectors literally got put there 2 minutes before I started the video and were mocked up on the headlight and taken off so I could show and explain. Didn’t know people would have “CDs” in a tool box… Thank you for your comment and view though 😎
i havent been able to watch all your videos but i just bought my first set of forged wheels. what do you recommend for getting all the brake dust off them before polishing them?
Honestly, I bought a set of ceramic dustless brake pads and haven't had an issue with brake dust since. But I always recommend washing them with soap and water every other week depending on how much you drive and the area you live
@thekolbyward yeah ive thought about switching pads. I just got new front pads but I don't know what they used. my passenger side wheel bearing locked up had it towed and fixed. I always wash it when I get home and before I leave then I get to west tx and it sits for two weeks until I go home again
the way you cut that dust shield …. SMH 🤦🏻♂️ glad the 28’s are gone that’s just too big if you daily the truck….. can’t wait to see what’s next , another great video. You should post more often !
Depending on what you ordered each spring should have a rating numbered on it to tell you the stiffness. I’ve seen people put stiffer springs up top and softer on the bottom and vice versa. Mine came already set from Stryker when I made the video
You're such a genius man. The dude owns a shop that builds donks and already bought wheels for his new truck. I even looked up the guys shop and website after I left. I've bought plenty of used wheels from people who have money and don't care to get rid of them for dirty cheap. But clearly you know from a video... LOL
