also, I once walked out into my back yard and my neighbors pit bull had jumped off the top of his dog house and over the fence and was hanging there by his chain. I ran over and put him back on his side of the fence and the dog was licking me profusely through the chain links. His owner came out and yelled at me. He literally yelled at me for helping his dog because he was "almost gone." Craziness.
I wonder about this a lot. I'm working on a standup regarding my schizophrenia. I am definitely focusing on how some of us just have to see the shit as funny. the making fun of people's laughs thing is extremely fucked up. I heard once from a girlfriend that I "sound like a retard" when I laugh. Seriously, when I laugh now I try to stop immediately. It's pretty torturous to do to someone.

No one knew him before Deadpool? Pretty sure Van Wilder predates Deadpool by about 14 years so I call bs. I think what TJ really meant was that no one knew who tf he was before Deadpool and he's a little bitter about it. Yeah, that sounds about right.

He was already a huge, in-demand star, starting with Van Wilder and only getting better as the decades passed. Yes TJ, DECADES! Ryan has had a very long career, something TJ will never experience. What’s really interesting about his comment is that I had never registered TJ Miller as a person before Deadpool came out, but I sure knew who Ryan Reynolds was.
Disney trusting the guy with the budget they did for Deadpool (and it working SO well) means others would likely trust a Ryan Reynolds project with their money. Plus, most kids wouldn't have seen most of his other movies before these. Deadpool gave him name recognition with KIDS. There are a LOT of kids in the world. Those freaks with the money see EVEN more piles of money in place of all of those kids. That's what he meant by that. He didn't BECOME well known, he became WORLD known. He got bumped up a level while already being famous, but it was a BIG level to reach to the point where it made things different (apparently).

Young people have such unrealistic expectations about anything that takes dedication and commitment to hone skill, even being good at something as lame as corporate job they all expect to be Directors on their way to CEO after working at a place for a couple months
