Great video. Very informative but I wanted to add one thing. Like every other thing in life, you need to have a balance. Working too many hours and just paying for the necessities isn’t really the ideal lifestyle you want. You need to put money aside for entertainment too. That shouldn’t be considered a luxury. It could be eating out once a week, traveling, going to the spa, etc. You need to factor in your emotional well being. Let’s say you retire at age 70 with 2 Million dollars. All your life, you have wanted to see the world but you kept postponing it. Now you have money and time but not health. Yes you need money to retire but you also retire on the memories you have made. Balance is everything and self care is not luxury I am assuming that this is something you are going to eventually discuss, but keeping your money in the bank is actually a very bad idea. You should talk about investing in government bonds, ETFs, CD, etc. since they are safer than the stock market. Let your money work for you. Also there apps that will round up your change and invest it for you. You just need to link cards that you use often. . Acorns and qapital are the two that come to mind. It might seem silly to save change but it adds up ( I use this money to buy tickets to Ethiopian every single year and sometimes I go twice). There is also the 52 week challenge for passive saving
Hi Robel I'm impressed with your ability to transform yourself into this amazing person, I salute you brother 🙏 As for saving I'm still immersed in this rat race life and just hoping to find a way to save more and spend less... But now you gave me a starting point how to save, with the books 📚 you mentioned I will hopefully do better in the near future.
My problem is if I get more money I feel like I can spend more too . Even tho I used to live on a less budget before I get the extra money. I like your video keep going and I think this will be a great space for young people to learn about managing money
The first thing my dad told me when I got my first real job was “don’t let your expense increase as your salary increases”. You are not alone and with online shopping, we are spending too much money on unnecessary things. I find it helpful to put the stuff I want in a shopping cart and wait at least 48 hrs before making the decision to buy it. I usually end up not buying it. I am working on my impulse control
