I am rewatching YYH and I just realized that even as far back as Genkai's Tournament, Kuwabara's heightened spiritual awareness made him incredibly strong at the rock-paper-scissors themed arcade game. Like, of course neither Kurama nor Hiei could beat Kuwabara at this game, he's got a natural sixth sense (unlike SOME who needed demon plastic surgery for theirs, no shade to the Flying Shadow but.... >.>) I'm finally old and wise enough to want to see some goddamn respect put on the name of Kazuma Kuwabara, and happy to see moments like these. Kurama will forever be my favorite, but I really appreciate Kuwabara as a great character and person.
Shishiwakamaru or however you spell it got so dang lucky he didnt fight hiei. Hiei wouldve absolutely murdered him brutally even just as a swordsman his speed would slice him before he even knew it hiei wouldnt need to use energy much if at all just his speed and sword. Kurama would knock his head off with a whip so he got lucky there kuwabara is the only one whose powers and speed matched up in a way he could overtake him. And for some reason genkai was nice enough to him probably because he didnt murder kuwabara when he couldve thats all i can guess shes not nice really but im sure she has some code about her and not bloodlust like hiei or even kurama if you push him. If youve seen the rest of the anime you definately know what im reffering too on kuramas brutal malice… so dark.
I love this show…but since ai watched it after DBZ…all i can hear is Vegeta, Android 17, and Tien…is Kurama voiced by Tiens voice actor…loved how YYH seemed to have more thought and strategy behind its battles.
So the if you've seen H×H you know theres a WHOLE rock paper scissor thing there as well and it cracks me up to see how the creator of these two masterpieces always manages to put rock paper scissors in somehow lol
The dynamics between this group are hilarious. I could watch it all day! And without Yusuke there, Hiei and Kuwabara's arguments run unchecked because Kurama just lets it happen! It's so awesome when a group of friends have such different personalities because they'll get into arguments over dumb stuff.
