Thanks for sharing. Is it just me or did anyone else wish that Bruce was going to play the awesome parts that Bob did on the demo. I've always fancied that version and never really understood why the studio one was so tame.
Ya know its cool he does this, but shit man....they havent changed up their skit since the time they took put back on the makeup. Its the same songs, and the same solos and the same banter. I really love them but man. They just didnt want to take a chance anymore after they put the make back on and kicked Peter and Ace out. Sad. I know they loved the money, but hell, they lost the drive for creativity. Too much money created lazy songwriting and energy. The shows were still good. But hell, even Eric Singer, you could see it in his playing. he looked bored to shit. At least in the Unholy videos era he was loving that shit. It was heavy and he was a banging them drums. now, he's just going thru the motions with Pauls little dream band playing samba music. May have well just cut his balls off and call him Enrico... They couldnt even give the damn band a final goodbye with all the remaining members. How fucked up and petty is that shit. I totally lost respect for Paul and Gene for that bullshit move. Probably more of a Paul move, because i know if Gene could make money off it he would of done it. So much for doing it for the fans... more like fuck the fans.

This is around the time that the wheels were falling off and things started to go way south. This is around the time where Peter and Ace realized how screwed they were in regard to the money and they couldn’t do anything about it. They were called and treated like employees and threatened by Paul and Gene that they would “Pull the plug” if the rules were broken. If you watch videos around this time going forward you will see a worn out Ace and Cat counting the days until the end. Paul and Gene just kept adding more dates to the tour but why not because they were making so much money at this point it would be like turning off a magical printer that is printing money nonstop. Then you take the Egos of Paul and Gene who NEVER wanted to come off the road and you add in the money they were making and that is why the band hasn’t come off the road since 96. They have been on the longest farewell tour in history except for the Who 😂 If only Ace and Peter didn’t use George Suitt to represent them. They should have chosen someone equal to, or greater than Doc McGee, to represent them. I imagine they didn’t understand how important they were to the success of kiss. Without ace and Peter, the band would quite possibly still be doing Holiday Inn convention tours for $100 a pop.
