Hey, new subscriber here. Just bought a 2024 yz125 first dirtbike. Are the internals similar? I know 2022+ are the new motor. But could this help to build mine
The correct tool to torque the nut connecting the linkage arm to the frame is a crowfoot wrench. Your local auto parts store has them. Also, sequence doesn't matter nor does taking the bike off the stand. Just torque to correct value.
my bike starts to bog when im 6 th gear wants to cut off but i keep giving it gas it comes back but sumtimes it dies but i can ride around with no problem only when in 6th going fast ive changed carb and jets to oem and tried every size and nothing any idea what it can be ?
Congratulations on the successful rebuild! What an epic effort to produce such insightful and step by step series! Loved every minute. Can you possibly share the list of ALL (whether must or just because you were there) part numbers and quantities that you ended up buying? There's a similar brown up machine available nearby, which i am contemplating to resuscitate after being inspired by your series. Would love to get an idea of real costs before pulling the trigger.
Ak moto, great video man, saved me lots of money. I have a question: the shop gave me my motor back in pieces and they had removed the bottom auxiliary oil drain plug on the stator side. Does that bolt have a spring and ball like the clutch side. I did not see those parts in the parts bag they gave me...just the plug with o ring was there. Thanks
Thanks for making the video, though you left out how to mesh the powervalve governor so it is properly timed, the manual is unclear to me how this needs to be done. Any ideas?
I love my TTR 110, only had it a year but it’s never failed even at deep water crossings. I do maintain & check it after every ride though. I was originally going to buy a YZ but the guy in the shop said I’d kill myself & to work up to that. I’m very happy with the TTR, it’s plenty enough power to start even as an adult, so he was probably right.
