I think it would help to shed light and put some background in the description, into what the camps were or how the incarcerated came about? As someone who is not Japanese or America this was confusing to understand. Interesting watch tho. And now that I’ve done some research, I wonder why this isn’t talked about in the same light to what Hitler did to the Jews?? The situation sounds similar
Yeah! The Japanese internment camp that the U.S. officials organized during World War II. It's not covered or spoken about like much of the U.S. oppressive history. They love to speak against other countries' actions and ignore theirs.
This looks amazing and so important. Please find a deal with a GLOBAL streamer so that people outside the US (like me) can see this. Congrats and good luck ❤
Humanity never learns. Atrocities happened, are happening and will be happening for as long as there is life on this floating rock. No movie or book will ever stop wars and violence and suffering. Art only reflects the reality, not alters it. If you've got the money to make a movie and you do want to spread an anti-violence message, spend that money mindfully: instead of making a movie, donate to people in need, animal rights activists, organizations supporting abortions.
Yeah, literally no-one has ever made a film or TV show about POWs or civilians held by the Japanese. Apart from Spielberg's Empire of the Sun, the BBC TV series Tenko, the classic film Merry Christmas Mister Lawrence, David Lean's masterpiece Bridge on the River Kwai and 2014's Unbroken. And those are just off the top of my head. Anyway, have you considered not being a racist?

Anyone interested in stories from the camps should read "We Are Not Free" by Traci Chee. It's a devastating novelization of the camp experience told through the voices of a group of teenagers who live it. Apparently partly based on the family history of the author.
Two of the actors on this film, Scott Keiji Takeda and Kurt Kanazawa narrated parts of the “We Are Not Free” audio book as well. Go check it out if you haven’t yet!
Thank you ❤️ We learned about in social work at Simmons, the MSW program I am in, the role of social workers in bringing people to the camps/facilitating and talk about with ethics. ❤️🙏🏻🕊✌🏻🇺🇦🇷🇺🇺🇸🌎🌍🌏✌🏻🌻
the graphic novel Citizen 13660 by Mine Okubo is a firsthand account of the author/illustrator's experience in the camps as a young woman, I highly recommend it.
When The emperor was Divine is ana amazing movie about this topic. I highly recommend this book. It is an amazing book. Also in the list to be banned in some districts. So buy it, gifted, read it. It is worth it.
At Last! At Last! A movie to put it toguether with what haciendo to all those hundes of miles familias amarican~japoneses during the WWII. AT LAST JUSTICE TO BE FRE AND TALK ABOUT ONE OF THE DARKEST AND ASHAMED STORIES ON AMÉRICAN HISTORY. When the land of freedom putted concentrations camps for its own citizens. So sad. Lets history Spears for itself!
@@skolastikacynthia8108 ....Japanese/Americans being interned during WW2. Lost all possessions, holdings and moved inland to internment camps and treated like prisoners.
@skolastikacynthia8108 It sounds like it could be about the Japanese internment camps in the US. A lot of people lost their homes and property while in the camps they were forced unto against their will
