Just finished making my 2nd wallet (matches my tote bag). It has been several years since making my first wallet in a class. I struggled until I found the tutorials. I know making my 3rd wallet (matching tote bag) will be enjoyable. By Annie RU-vid is now one of my favorite channels. Thank you so much.
Great job Linda. We enjoy Sew Club and have been members for years. There’s always a great demonstration and the show and tell portion really highlights the capabilities of many of the members. I hope you have a wonderful sale for July 4.
I am not impressed If these are the "NEW" features offered by this machine because I am not a Quilting person, I like Embroidery more. Big Touchscreen have existed for at least 8-10 years already in Babylock, Brother, PFAFF and Viking machines, as well as WiFi. The only reason I am staying with my Bernina B830 LE is coz I already learned how to use the BSR to do Free Hand Motion Embroidery, and how to switch/change thread efficiently on the clumsy system the Bernina has. But I have my eyes on the PFAFF ICON 2 that has all that stuff the B990 has, plus more, including AI Dictation, and an Embellishment attachment that allows to add Sequins, Beads, Ribbons and Yarn into Embroidery, a very easy user friendly System, and are exploring adding the Coloreel(c) System (for the people that knows what is Coloreel(c)), to the machine. And for sure, this B990 machine will be close to 20K coz the B880 Plus was close to 17K, although now, Bernina dropped the price to 11K to get rid of this model. But Brother and Babylock will also introduce new TOL models later this year, so lets see what they offer. But so far, that PFAFF is my Top Choice. That is MHO.
Hey Jorge, we were in the embroidery class offered at BU on the bernina 990, I can assure you that the machine has way more to offer than just a big screen! If you are local to Illinois you should come to our roadshow where you will be able to see the machine :) As far as the BSR you will be able to use the old style BSR.
Can anyone recommend a serger that’s a lot smaller (and less expensive than this one) that can use a piping foot? I tried one that was said to be for Singers, but it didn’t fit mine.
