Anyone claiming that bullshit culture appropriation is a dumb racist. Culture appreciation is what they are running on. blacks forget other cultures have inspired them also . Enough with the hate. Oeople are jealous because this Young Aces are bringing out great new throwback music. In which they always give praise to the bands and artists that have inspired them. So dont be jealous , just enjoy them.

XGALX, a subsidiary of AVEX, a leading Japanese entertainment company, aims to create a global music sensation with XG, an all-Japanese group. Unlike KPop or JPop, XG represents a new genre, XPOP, reflecting the visionary goals of AVEX and Simon. In an interview with Billboard, the AVEX CEO elaborated on this strategic direction, emphasizing XG's unique identity as XPOP from Japan.

your from an immigrant class in America. Your from my ethnic group, who actually created rap. you are not foundational black american. Xg can puppet black american culture well but they are not autenthic. hip hop also is not from different cultures aroubd the world. you are slow agreeibg with those sort of comments.

I think xg are cultural appropriating. An example of cultural appreciation to me is Snow and his song Informer. He wrote the song and even though he was white his childhood was spent with children of Jamaican immigrants. The trouble with pop music is the acts usually don't write their music. So xg are using black slang not because of their history but because a black songwriter wrote it for them. If they didnt write a song but found a songwriter incorporating japanese slang instead of african American vernacular then to me that would feel more genuine. Kpop fans seems to point at hair style, outfits, etc however to me the bigger issie with XG is their use of african american vernacular when that is not part of their upbringing or childhood and is being used to get views and money.

Get out of here with this bs. Braids have been around forever. And this will shock the shit out of you but in the Chinese dynasty way back when, Asians wore traditional braids in their hair it was a sign of wealth and prosperity. And the same goes for the Japanese Geisha girls, So tell me, who is actually the owner of the braid....UH....NOBODY it's just HAIR. Jesus. People will protest and throw a fit like little victim's all the time. It is appreciation for hip hop. Again when was it written that any hair style or music belonged Soley to the African Americans. Again it's just Hair. Get the hell over it . Go snivel and whine about another made up reason to chastise another race that is different from you. Just ridiculous. Oh by the way my wife is black and my daughter is black as are my in-laws and they agree....Get over yourself. This is not directed at this smart girl who made this video but at those who are still jealous that the Koreans are better at hip hop than they are.

The entire kpop industry does get heat when they do it. It’s so weird and should be extremely embarrassing to you as a black woman to spout ignorance against your own race for more views on this flop channel. This is EMBARRASSING.

And also hip hop is American. Anything invented in America is American first. All black people didn't invent it, jus like things in America Asians made or white people made, or any1 American. Hip hop has been made bye white people too and vast majority of hip hop sales has been to white people and Asian people, Latinos all consuming it with there money. It's wa more American than it is anything especially a color. Black people outside of the U.S.A. didn't help build it up to becoming loved globally the way Americans helped make it possible.
@williampangilinan2670

What I know is any1 can where what they want if they like it even if it's on a daily basis. If there doing it than they like it. It is foolish for any race or ethnicity to gate keep anything cultural. Because naturally we all gravitate to what we like. It's part of our individual being to do so. Its what helps things stand the test of time. You should want people to share and be free. To not share also creates division and resentment. Black people are not minorities. Maybe in some countries, maybe majority in some, but not in the world. Idk where ur from but especially in context of a global brand like music or even online community that black people are not that cuz here online it's the whole world

They don't have to do the hair tbh. I don't mind them appreciating the culture but until black americans are allowed to wear their natural hair without laws discriminating against them, i ain't with it. I like XG tho.

I’m a 42 year old Native American man that grew up in the 90s loving the hip hop and r&b that XG evokes. When I listened to “Winter Without You” and “Two Tens” I felt like a kid again. Maybe my tastes simply refuse to grow but I just can’t with todays hip hop and r&b. But this group was a breath of fresh air for me. I look forward to every release from them.

Personally I think Blackswan needs to be more like what XG is doing. These Japanese girls have combined old school hip-hop and R&B into a new sound yet keeping it true to it's roots. Grab hold of the older as well as the new generation of music fans around the world who dig this style.

Just loved your Mom's reactions to both XG videos , but when she reacted to Left Right I couldn't help but see those smiles and shoulder movements you Mom was beginning to show. There's nothing like seeing a straight face and suddenly see the hints of a smile begin to emerge until you can see " it looks like she likes it " moment.

The entire kpop industry DOES get hit many times for culture costumes and it’s not just with black people either. Having said that, I always thought it was more appreciation of a particular style rather than straight culture siphoning.
