Great review, sadly Garmin’s user manual is virtually useless and this helps. Any idea how to reset stats for clubs easily? I laid off golf last year and just found out my son “borrowed” my clubs (that have ct10 sensors attached) and my approach s60 all last season and so my stats are all messed up. I have new clubs also this year and so would just like to start my stats all over from scratch. I’m unclear if retiring all my clubs would work. Thanks!
The level of specialists L1 Technologies is very low, it is not clear how bushnell golf(GPS devices EXEL, ION2, Phantom GPS, App), motocaddy(GPS App , GPS Trolley and GPS Sensor Trolley 2020),TecTecTec (UlTG), Powakaddy (GPS devices and App) and the Yamaha(Yamatrack, YTX, GPS Devices for control Golfcart AC and Gas versions) were order development of devices and mobile applications from them. Developers are engaged in theft and copying of branded electrical and GPS devices while presenting the development as their own. I will not advise this disgusting company. They periodically open a new company, probably to make a rebranding, since there are no orders at all, the last company was opened under the name Pixels Matter LLC, which is essentially the same as L1 Technologies.
go back through the video. The steps are there. You have to try and work it out too. Is the scorecard complete? Did you save after your round properly?
Great review..bought one of these on the strength of this review...Thanks Do you know when we 'add Clubs' in Garmin Connect, if we can get them - that list on the watch..?
in my unit, the "direction of the hole" function (min.15'34 "of your video) does not work anymore .. Icon is gray, does not activate, any suggestions? thanks
hi great review - Do you know how to get the stroke index's up? it gives the option of stableford scoring but with no stroke index it can't give you a stableford score with any handicap??
Hi, great review. I looked to the video at 9:15 but no way I can get to edit the score or see the graphics of the golf course on screen.... Using MAC... could it be the problem? tried to reconnect to Garmin Connect but did not work.. same problem.... any suggestions?
using a Mac is not an issue.... it's how i do it. In connect, go to ScoreCards. This is where you will see the course lay out graphics and your performance review. This will only be seen if you have kept score during your golf rounds & you have something to review.
Hi, thanks for the review. Just a quick question. I have set my clubs up in connect and when I start a round I select the green tick for scoring but I am not prompted to add what specific club I have just hit as you show happens for you. Could you possibly advise how I can set this in detail please as I am a simpleton with these type of things. Thanks.
howdy mate, yeah i really enjoy this watch. I have even converted a few of my golfing friends to this model. I woudn't say i keep score very often thru the watch as i already do this on my scorecard. The watch performs very well day to day on & off the golf course.
How do you get to choose which club you used when hitting a stroke? Used mine for the first time today, but this feature wasn’t available even thoug I turned on the club statistics in the menu.
you need to enable scoring, & select keep score when you start your game. Eventually the watch will get to know your distances by average shots & prompt the club to have just hit.
Nice review. I'm tempted to switch. Can I log partial rounds on this watch? Frequently play 9 holes but by recently bought TomTom2 calculates Fairways Hit and GIR based on 18 holes. This is really annoying.
Is Garmin Connect able to display stats for a certain hole and course using the data from several rounds ? Let's say I want to see where my drives end up on hole number 4 on my home course, will Garmin Connect be able to show me that or do I have to figure it out myself by comparing each round and hole manually?
in Garmin connect, you can review a hole and look at the shot making history for this hole.a great feature for working out where your tee shots are going.
In the video at 9:15 I can see each holes score has an underline where you can edit and view the shots for that hole. I just played my first round and checked Garmin Connect after posting my round and I only have an pencil on the far right to edit my scores so I'm unable to view the shots that I took for each hole. Has this changed in Garmin Connect or am I missing a setting somewhere on my watch? I did have Stat Tracking and Club Tracking on and Tournament Mode and Big Numbers off
I think I may have just worked it out. I plugged my watch into my PC and synced it through Garmin Express and I now have the links available to view data for each hole
Thank you for a very useful and entertaining review - they should be all like this! One question comes to mind - I often play random practice balls during practice rounds (when I'm not holding anyone up of course). Is there a quick way to dismiss these shots on the fly or do you need to post edit them out? Again thank you. I'm jealous of your Metro play - I get on to Terrey Hills every now and then so that kind of makes up for it! Cheers from Sydney - Dave
Question ..... How do I show distance at the top of the screen ( How far I drove the ball ) played with my S60 for the first time today , my watch ace doesn't have the feature , had to do it manually ( top button , click one the green icon to see distance hit ) ... P.s ,,,, great review . Most enjoyable
www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/approachs60/EN-US/GUID-5F5A59EC-65E5-4EE3-9541-797E84A1B1A2.html The Autoshot feature appears once you start walking after making good contact with a shot.
maybe if you tap the screen ? sorry, i do recall when i 1st set mine up it was like that. I had to do something to get the distance come up automatically. Try scrolling through the screen of the watch to see if there are any other menu options.
Excellent Job!! One of the very best RU-vid reviews I have ever seen. Heading out today to play a round with my new Approach S60. Have you used the Garmin TruSwing with it?
thanks Sean. I'm yet to try the TruSwing. I have played around with the swing tempo on the S60 whilst practicing but find it hard to know if what feedback the watch is giving me is relevant to what i am working on at the range.
