Representing their 'new' material, 'Jon Anderson & the Band Geeks' performed 4 songs from "True" while Steve Howe's version of YES perform 1 song from their last 3 releases. So, who's more proud of what they've recorded ? Exactly !
I'm sad to say that I agree with you, but I do. I love Steve Howe, and I applaud him for wanting to keep Yes music alive, but I don't think he has surrounded himself with the best musicians for the job. I think Steve Hackett's band, which plays classic Genesis songs at a very high level, but which doesn't claim the name "Genesis", is a good model for Steve Howe to follow.
I think Richie Castellano mentioned a while back that they have professional video of at least some of the JA + Band Geeks 2023 concerts (not sure about this year's concerts). So a concert video might be a possibility, but we will have to wait and see.
Chis vocals are ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤the only thing that is missing that and Wakeman even though they’re are 2 keyboards players the keys are still missing that true 70s analog sound
Fun fact: During "The Great Gig in the Sky," the stage was lit with magenta light. But in my video, it looks like blue light. This is apparently due to a limitation of my camera, which is explained by Steve Mould here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HauiF_AQUIY.html
