Just got one of your Dua Lipa videos in my feed and HAD to visit your channel for more. LOVE them! I'm in a senior color guard and really appreciate this tutorial where you've broken down some of your cool tricks. Would love to see more!
I have the same flag color and didn't even realize it until I got my flag put to practice. Anyway, good tutorial! You explained it how I would've wanted it to be explained when I was a beginner.
Hi I’m new to color guard and I started this year I was wondering where you get your equipment and if you could do some rifle tricks it would help me so much and you have inspired me so much this year ❤
I purchased all of my equipment on Amazon, actually. The multi-colored flags in my other videos were from band websites, but the solid colors are from Amazon. You need a pole, either 5 foot 6 inch or 6 foot, depending on your guard. You need weights for both ends, crutch tips for both ends, electrical tape, and a flag! I'll start posting tutorials here, soon, but I'm not as well-versed in rifle as some other amazing youtubers are. I will focus mostly on flag. Thank you for watching, and good luck in guard 🙏💜
What's the name of the toss that you did where you did a parallel while holding the silk of your flag? I wanted to learn it but I can't find anything on it. Nice routine!
It's just a silk parallel toss. I don't know if it has its own fancy name otherwise. Haha. My guard always made up our own names for most tosses, but for some reason, we didn't for that one
I love these videos! I was in my high school color guard. I wish there were more videos like this! Where do you purchase your poles and flags? Do you have any recommendations? I think we used to use aluminum poles for practice and possibly fiberglass for performances, but I'm not sure. I've been looking to purchase my own, but thought I'd see if you have any suggestions!
You can get everything to make a flag on Amazon. I buy metal poles, crutch tips, weights, flags, and electrical tape all on Amazon. :) I'm so glad you enjoy the videos! I wish I had more time in my life to keep making more.
Beautiful routine!!! I hope you can upload more routines, tutorials and tips to achieve a level like yours, it takes a lot of discipline to achieve what you do... congratulations
I really hope you keep making videos, you're SO GOOD at colorguard, and the filming works with it so well 😍 my mom was watching over my shoulder, and she said "wow, she makes it look so easy" ❤
Because I have a special kind of flag that sends a tiny volt of electricity through my body every time it feels a toss coming on 🤷♀️ I tried to buy a pole without this feature but the salesperson was really convincing
You know, I get asked for tutorials a lot, and I'm not sure what platform is best for them. Or exactly what tricks to do specifically. But I do have a tiktok account under springdymez as well, and I would suggest just watching each individual toss specifically on there to learn one at a time. I usually just watch someone do a trick over and over and slowly catch on. If that doesn't work, I don't mind making a tutorial video just for you and finding a way to send it to you, maybe over fb? You would just have to tell me what exactly it is you want to learn :)
YOOOOO THIS IS SO SICK!! I hope I can get to that level of performance someday- this year's going to be my first actual non-covid-restricted marching band season :D
I started colorguard pretty late (junior in college) and your videos have been so inspiring to me! This is definitely my favorite color guard routine to watch :) I really hope to get this good someday.
Omg! That just brought me so much happiness, you don't even know. I actually started as a senior in high school and then only did one year in college color guard, so I totally feel what that's like being late to the game. But I really am so happy you enjoy this video and maybe someday I'll be watching your videos 🤗
