Thank you for this list! I’ve loved board games for years, but my cousins have all grown up and we’ve all moved so it’s hard to get my gaming group together. I found solo gaming recently, and it has been so awesome to be able to play consistently again! I’ve added 4 of the ones from your list to my shopping list. Thanks again!
Nice list, thanks! Looks like these games shown are a combination of solo games specifically designed for one player and multiplayer games with a solo mode.
OMG 😋😋😋 NOW I want waffles!!! I'll try to make it to the end of the vid tho 😜 I can barely make it through a game of Dollars to Donuts without having to make a Dunkin run!
Pollen is pronounced - pah-len 😊 I loved this video! It reallllly helped me understand this game!! You should do more videos like this! Do you own Tapestry? I'm trying to learn that and I think your style of teaching would help everyone a lot!!!
Nice haul. I enjoy Coffee Roaster a lot for a quick easy to setup solo game. Perfect with coffee in the am. I havent tried the others but they look fun. Enjoy!
They are a great company. I think these purchases were all used - but 'Mint, Near Mint, or Excellent'. I've ordered from them many times in the past and never had an issue with any games. Often times you can get new games, and out of print games, there as well. I have not sold any games to them, but then I have a difficult time selling any games to anyone! ha! I confess. I'm a hoarder of board games.... I love them... eventually though... I will have to sell some, and most likely will try out NK.
Noble Knight is awesome! What they sell (honest about the condition), how they buy (they pay for shipping!), and the sheer volume and variety of games & gaming products. Their website is great; I also live close enough to visit the brick and mortar (I could spend a whole day in there!)
Hello, thanks for this short no-nonsense format. One thing I would like to learn is which games are designed for solo, which are multiplayer with a solo option and which are multi that you find a way to play solo. Thanks.
Oh how I love Uwe games!!! Specifically Caverna AND Agricola. I don't shoot for 100+, it's strictly a BYOS affair for me. The room tiles (cards w/Agricola) give me options each game that make my head spin! Trying out a different combo each time makes for incredible replayability. BTW - Fields of Arle is my absolute favorite Uwe.
I think it is quite similar to Agricola, designed by Uwe Rosenberg as well. Agricola has a very good solo mode, but it is the most frustrating game I have ever played and - to be honest - I don’t like it at all😮 It is so hard to achieve even a tiny bit and it is quite “punishing” when you can ´t feed your family when the “feeding- phase” comes😮 I played it about 20 times, there are worldchampionships for Agricola, but I don ´t like it at all. Thank you for showing Caverna 🎉
I've played Agricola as well......and I think Caverna is more of a pleasurable time..... still challenging overall, but not as you say so 'punishing' if you can't feed everyone. There is almost always a way you can feed everyone in Caverna. Thanks for your comments....
Thank you very much for this list, I will definitely have a look at Floriferous and the spooky version of Carcassone. Please keep up with the great work :)
Hello Jenny, I just discovered your channel some days ago and I love it. I love games with a nature theme, so I really loved “leaf” - I had a look, this game will be available soon in Germany and as soon as it is available, I am going to purchase it. There is an expansion, called “the time of the bear” (in Germany) - do you have this expansion and if yes: how do you like it? I really like the Tuesday videos, where you show antique games, I think this is very interesting. I wasn ´t aware that there were “quite modern” games in the 1870s, I thought there was just chess or cardgames🤦🏻♀️ So thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos and thank you for showing us interesting games from long long ago🤗 and thank you for giving me new ideas for solo games - I play solo quite often😊🎉
Just want to say that I have been enjoying the channel since subscribing a couple months back. I do enjoy playing Clever 4 Ever on my iPad/iPhone, and may pick up the physical version of That’s Pretty Clever sometime in the near future. Overall, just want to say thanks for the game recommendations, as well as your overall presentations of games past & present. Also love the little intro music. 👍🏾😊 Thank you
@@markusbiewer2756 And that variant is totally free and I found it straight away just googling for it! It's basically "play with 3 player colours by yourself and at the end the _lowest scoring colour_ is your score" but the full details are in the pdf (including goals you can strive for besides just setting a high score!)
I love how concise you are compared to many other board game RU-vidrs. Also, thanks for showing components and gameplay unlike some RU-vidrs who just ramble nonstop!
The Reasons I Watch These: 5% - new game ideas, 95% pass judgement on others views. You have good taste and there were a few I had not heard of. Well done!
I'm a fan of the cover as well but the way things are nowadays? I can't help think this was the beginning of the more liberal crowd trying to convince good people that crime should also be thought of as cute with little regard to the victims? No seriously. 😇
hi!thanks for your videos!can you please give me some information about the first game "card adventure" I can't find it anywhere, full name or author? Thank you
The name of the game is Cartaventura: Lhasa, published by KOSMOS. There are a whole bunch of different modules that can be purchased: Lhasa, Vinland, Oklahoma, Caravans, etc.
Awe “I feel like I won as well” ❤️ Love that, because it’s true. You are playing against yourself! I’ll remember that win I lose to the automa next time.
Great list! I really enjoy your short straightforward videos. Do you houserule your solo games or play as official rule books suggested? I struggle with Honey buzz and Creature Comforts, but can’t come up with any improvements.
Wow, glad I found this site! I love how you get straight to the games, and are quick, and precise! So many others go on and on and bore the heck outta me.. Great game choices too!...❤
