Is getting a hybrid Crown worth it given they are an old car with ni-mh? If you have to spend several thousands on a new battery, I think that would negate the extra fuel usage. They seem to be the same price as regular S204's, or if anything a bit less.
@@omarioharrison5604 I didn’t care about the fuel consumption, so I only remember that a 2.5 version consumes about 8liters/100km on highway. Now I own a 3.5 version. The fuel consumption is 9/100km on highway and about 15/100km in city. Also it requires high-octane gasoline.

Yes I did! I replaced it in 138k mileage. It costed me $1500 from another crashed Toyota Crown. Luckily, that workshop belonged to a friend of friend which is why I got discounted price, however, the installation was also done by a friend-mechanic. I went to Toyota and they quoted for $4000 for battery and labour with warranty of 5 years (I think)
Blind spot monitor wasn't common in 2009. Blind spot monitor started getting common after 2015. From a car that is more than a decade old. It is still better than 2019 cars.
Typically ev mode in non plugin hybrids is less than 1km The battery is tiny and can not have much stress. It is well managed by Toyota system so will last long
Hi Hasnain. I moved to Australia and was terribly disappointed at the shortage of japanese rear wheel drives can you tell me how reliable the car is. Its costing g the same as the Camry here and looks and feels much better. Any advise will be appreciated .
It is very efficient compared to other non-hybrid cars. This car gives me 12 kilometres per litre in a rush hour traffic on Motorway. Without Rush hour, it gives me 16-20 km per litre. I used to drive another non-hybrid 3.5 litre v6 car in rush hour and it used to give me 5 kilometres per litre.
Any known issues with the 2009 crown hybrid ? Or there isn’t any ? Doing some reach on that year model but can’t seem to find any online maybe I’m not looking in the right place
