Dude this is so sick!! We were just talking about how we wanted to build our own camper trailer. Except I'm not smart enough nor do I know how to weld 🤣🤣 Glad your eyeballs are ok! That must have been rough man.
How did you bend the hard brake lines? Did you remove them completely from the Jeep or is there a way to do it without removing and also crimping the lines? Great video.
Thanks! And you’re welcome. I watched lots of van builds and suv builds on RU-vid before I built mine out. So figured why not upload a walk around. So maybe could help someone else out in planning their build.
Awesome video. Do you really have to replace the studs for the backing plate? Seems like the new bolts you got are a little long while the XJ studs seem like they wouldve fit.
Thanks. Yes the xj ones are to short. You can use the stock liberty ones though. For me the bolts ended being easier to track down in the small town I live in.
@@mattvangundy not sure if you seen it yet but remodel video is up. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CnuAsNqyLCI.htmlsi=oqUvEHqkb0Pf58fm
Probably not gonna be cheap at a shop. Nope I’m in Michigan unfortunately. Check out the brown dog motor mounts. They have ones that use other holes in the block. That’s what I was going to do if couldn’t get the broken bolts out.
Big lifts aren't necessary. My buddy, who off roads all the time out in Idaho, told me years ago that 33s are plenty for off-road. I will likely do the Kryptonite 3" lift on my Z71 Burb and run with a set of 285/75/17 tires. Brand new FX4 super duty trucks come with that size, so they have to be capable.
I agree in Michigan especially. That’s all I run on my actual wheeling rig. My Jeep XJ is on 33x13.50x15 Open Country MTs with a spartan locker up front. The suburban is more my tow rig and back road cruiser lol.
I'll be honest man when I saw the vehicle I was like "this is gonna be a mess inside..." but I was wrong. You have a very nice and simple set up. I like the way you organized it and kept it minimal, and everything you did was pretty good quality compared to the cluttered mess you see inside a lot of SUVs. I just traded in my overland built 4runner today and bought my 1st Suburban and your video gave me a couple ideas. Thanks!
Thanks. I didn’t want a ton of extra weight so kept everything as minimal as possible. But still have everything I need inside for a trip at all times. Just throw some food in the fridge and grab some clothes and go.
What size battery is your second. I bought a battery tray. But now I can't find a battery to fit I.n it lol. The tray I bought is sopost to be oem. Thank you .
