We have researched the possibility of a CF intake also for Spyder, but due to space constraints and not enough improvement in induction noise, we decided to postpone the development for now.
Porsche didn't make a 981 platform GT4 RS or any other manual GT4 RS in fact. Induction noise with a manual transmission is something you couldn't get straight from Porsche.
@@GOLDLEAFlightweightperformance thanks for answering. Do you think the intake sounds in the cabin will sound different with an aftermarket x-pipe (like Cargraphics or JCR) and a OPF delete (for Americans)? Like will it also be higher pitched inside the cabin? Very curious because I am planning out my mods for my GTS 4.0.
@@jackson5068 The exhaust configuration has no influence on the induction sound. You will however hear a different exhaust note inside the cabin of course.
Hello, amazing video. I will saving some money to buy it next year. In average how many man hours it takes to do the whole installation? And would any warning messages need to be cleared with Piwis afterwards ?
Competition motorsports sells two roll bars for the same price. The 981/718 one and the GT4RS one. Is this intake compatible with the 981/718 one or would it be best to go with the GT4RS one. Which appears to have designed to loop over the window intakes that arent present on lower trims.
You should definitely opt for the GT4 RS roll bar. Despite the loop design we are not 100% sure it will also clear our intake system. Our central cover sits a bit higher than the stock GT4 RS intake (approximately 1 cm). It depends how much space the loop provides below.
@@GOLDLEAFlightweightperformance thank you for responding. I'm definitely interested in getting this but obviously gonna have to save a little bit for it. I'm tracking my GT4 which is why the roll bar compatibility really matters to me.
