First boat lifting after 12th Months. We have used premier for twin keels and antifouled the hull. We have also replaced rubber seal for steel shaft as there were leaking. We have cleaned and and used marine grease for Blakes seacocks.
Once, I have complted the task, I have sent the pictures to the surveyor who is now boat consultant. He thinks this temporarily solution is ok. I believe that having boat consultant on the solo projects will help me to completed thask more efficiently without loosing time, making mistake and losing uncessary money.
Purchased the first boat. So far, everything went smoothly. The next step prepare the boat for next marina which is about 60 nautical miles. Before we move, fuel pump needs to changed and the gap under mast area just above bulkhead needs to filled in with thick epoxy resin as a temporarily solution.
Had a quick coffee meeting with seller and he accepted my offer.The surveyor had started his work early this morning and I had to catch him up the work he has done so far. No major issues found on this project boat. The surveyor is positive with outcome. So, hopefully, I will buy the boat tomorrow.
Just viewed first sail boat. This is a Westerly Centaur 26 - 1975. The seller has advertised that the engine has a leaking problem and no cushions on boat. Asking price is reasonable and open to offers. Can be good project boat.
