What the orchestral versions does is butcher this music. They veer it off towards a more epic and heroic direction, while the original is more of a military march that accompanies a lone warrior, who trudges along a dangerous and deformed world. Not always happily winning battles, but sometimes running away, and wearily taking rest. Despite all that, he marches on. It's not a fan fare to heroism, but a drum beat to a warrior and his purpose, his destiny.
Best game ever made imo. It was the first game that ever really gave me the "open-world" vibe. I remember as a kid I would open up the map just to marvel at how big it was and how much there was to explore
