Hello brother, my A14XER is smoking non stop the mechanic has changed the rings and the head has been serviced replacing all the seals and guides to no avail. Can swop the engines and use the Z14XER instead?
Cheers, Bennie. A lot of hassle, but your video is spot on. I had to make a few minor adjustments, but I managed to get there in the end with all of my fingers intact, but two extra screws! One was from the belt drive after reading a comment, suggesting that I take it off to reattach the belt (but I couldn't get it back on), but I haven’t got the foggiest where the last little screw lives. 😂 The drum is turning again and its heating as it should, but its a little bit noiser than it was before. I'm not sure if that's anything to worry about, but if it conks out again, I'll just replace it. Thanks again. Keep up the great work, but stop making it all look easy! 😂
If like the smaller Harley’s. 1200 sportster is where it’s at on the older one’s. Don’t know much about the new ones that came out. But first Harley was a 2008 1200 nightster
Hi I'm not sure you will reply as it was so long ago you did the job, did you have to drop the oil sump pan to refit the timing cover ? Any reply appreciated
Hi, I never bothered to remove the sump as it involved unbolting the exhaust and I couldn`t get the exhaust bolts undone. Just clean the timing cover, use a new gasket, and where the timing cover meets the sump use something like Wynns Gasket Maker, or a high temperature liquid gasket to form a seal between the cover and sump.
Great video, thanks! I found that if you remove the 10mm bolt holding the plastic trim down, you can lift the trim up slightly and get a 12mm socket with an extension on. A lot easier than 1/4 turns with a spanner.
I have uploaded the songs in running order starting with "Bang a Gong", there are still two more songs left to upload and they will be "Sunshine of your love" followed by "Mojo Working" which is the last track
How sad. I took drill in one of these hangars, and PT in the other. With the buildings being demolished, the runway is still there and bigger than London city airport runway. With the industrial estate only being on the domestic side of the old camp, the airfield side could still be utilized into a regional airport or flying club. And it is in the middle of everywhere right next to a main road.
Thank you for this video. I have finally completed the belt change, and my dryer is back up and running !! The step by step instructions were clear to follow. However, the process has taken me over 3 weeks to complete. I had to cut the belt off in my first attempt, and I then stupidly stood on the edge of a side panel and sliced the top off my toe !! My own fault for not wearing shoes ! I then had one final attempt and after 2 hours of wrestling putting it back together I succeeded and I could not be happier. So thanks for the video I could not of completed the job without It 😊
Brilliant video cheers. Resitting the drum/front panel is one thing, but getting that belt on the pulley was a nightmare. Still, got it done in time for the football 👍
Nice attention to detail with the cables. I had to make short extensions for my Versys 1000 install which necessitated some suspension of the wires to prevent shaking and stress in the oncoming wind. It's a great horn for the money, but generally has to be installed with the horn to the side or to the rear (which is not a problem), not downwards as the maker says is necessary, because most brackets are for a flat sounder.
It's a good horn; much better than the pathetic sounder that comes as standard on a Versys 1000, for example. If they really do expect it to be installed facing downwards, rather than backwards, then they should supply a 90 -degree bracket; most people will need that for a downward-pointing install, which seems entirely unnecessary to me.
