Yo, love the sharks, don't have nearly 3 hours to listen or the want to listen to you boys for that long...I think you'd do yourselves well to cut 8-10 min videos of the highlights.. thanks for covering sharks hockey!
@@GEN-X- such an unnecessary comment... I have a full time governement job, a fiance, a house, and hobbies. Sorry you felt slighted by my respectful comment disagreeing with you. whatever is going on in your life i hope it gets better
Do not trade Musty. Especially for a goalie that has no NHL experience. Goalies are crapshoots, don't care about Askarov's projections, he doesn't have an NHL track record to hand over a prime asset.
I think you just keep playing the goalie lottery until you're on the doorstep of the playoffs. Any big move for a goalie at this point just doesn't make sense as we should continue to compile prospects.
Not to mention if the guy is likely to still be a potential trade target at the deadline (doesn't make sense for the Sharks) or draft (may make sense for the Sharks) it seems much better to just wait. By next year's draft we may be in a spot where the Vegas pick doesn't look like amazing value, Mack and Smith look like the real deals, Musty/Bystedt/Edstrom all look ready to contribute in a real way plus Dickinson coming up, and we have 2 expiring goalies. At that point it may be reasonable to put a package together for a still youngish goalie who aligns with the core. But right now we are still in the wait and see what assets we have and what our timeline actually looks like, mode.
@@markarbanasin4 Yup. Plus one of our own younger goalies could hit. There’s also the fact that while we were AWFUL last year and will still be bad, we’ve added a TON of talent. A lot of these guys (like McGroarty and Askarov) want out cause they want playing time that we can’t guarantee like we could have even a year ago. Hell Graf signed with us cause he tonight he’d get playing time, but he’s on the outside looking in. Also, goalies take a LONG time to develop, so I’m not even sure he’d be ready for a couple more years?
Please don't bring back Martin Jones. He's so bad at tracking the puck. The prime example that the Sharks organisation had no clue about goalies for a long time. Even as a third stay away from him. We don't need that anymore. Hey Keenan don't let you getting interruptet so much. This Podcast sometimes is to much of a monologue. Don't be mad Sheng😅
It’s great that Plattner has paid for Sap center improvements, but that’s what he should do. He’s a billionaire many times over and can more than afford those costs. Doesn’t matter that the sharks are a tenant there, it’s crazy to have taxpayers pay for those upgrades while also charging crazy prices to attend games. Fans don’t get discounted parking, food, or merchandise for being the owners of sap center even though as taxpayers they built the arena. No more welfare for billionaires
Becher seems like such a genuine dude. Always active and engaged with fans on twitter and this interview proves it even further. Guy is just a super fan and is the president of the team. Great interview as always Sheng and Keegan! much love for you both
Hey Guys, Interesting interview with the Pres. I was not aware about the details around SAP Center. Thanks for having such a good conversation about that challenge. Keep up the good work boys. P.s I will say Mac winds up with 59 pts and Will Smith with wind up with 45. hahaha Peter St. John Clovis, CA
Remember when they tired to say anything except "rebuild". It was a "retool" and "reset" for a few years. Once GMMG came in, he used the word "rebuild" finally. Nothing was gonna get better if they couldn't admit how big the problem was.
Its so easy to look at the high skill level of guys like Celebrini and Smith and project these high point totals. But then you forget that success in the NHL often comes down to brute force and physicality. It really is a grown man's game. 18 year olds going up against 27 year old men who have been getting swole for the last 10 years is hard to project.
You’re right, some of the guys that are around do have that raw powerful size and strength. Thinking of Musty, Chernyshov, Haltunnen, Wetsch, Bystedt and Edstrom. These guys all seems to be huge and strong at forward. On defense there’s Dickinson bringing that of course, and Mukhamadulin, and Misskey if he works out. So Grier I think knows this and he could be adding Porter Martone or Logan Hensler next draft who should bring some more size.
@@-Lee-0312 A guy like Dickinson has the height and athleticism to play in the NHL. But its not clear whether he has the core strength. Strength is something that is gradually built up over the course of years as a result of lifting weights. Veteran players have the advantage in this area because they have been lifting weights for longer than Dickinson (or at least you would hope so lol).
@@DanRaidersWarriorsSharksGiants I went to a Leafs game when they were bad, and it was very empty. Of course it wasn't as empty as SAP - Toronto is probably the biggest hockey hotbed in the world after Montreal. But it was not close to sold out, and it was quiet.
Pohlkamp understood the assignment at the scrimmage: there is no defense, jump in as an extra forward. Cagnoni’s mistake was trying to play defense at the scrimmage 😅
The problem is will Musty be able to do more at the OHL level? This year sucks because he either needs to be OHL or NHL. I think he needs to do 9 games and go down to realize the difference.
