Availability due to higher sales and a C63 probably more likely to be modded than an E63. I’ve never seen E63 mufflers for sale near me so I went with C63.
@@ericbaur568 Solid! My Son is trying to decide between E350 and E550. I'm kinda pushing him to the 3.5 for gas savings but hard to deny how amazing the v8s sound
Sorry, just read all the comments and saw your link to the mbworld thread… so next question lol, did the exhaust hooks from the 205 muffler line right up or did the shop have to weld new ones to hold them in place? Thanks!!
Beautiful set up. I got the same exact car - everything is just stock. Was it the rear most resonators you cut out (the one right before the mufflers)? You didn’t touch the catalytic converters?
Hey man sounds awesome, was wondering if that new exhaust tips you just put in, did you have to replace the whole back bumper or is it as easy as replacing the diffuser
@@ericbaur568 thank u for letting me know definitely gonna get the same set up as yours soon as I purchase one sounds amazing. would you mind sending me the link I wanna be sure if I’d have to get C63 coupe mufflers or if any C63 mufflers would fit
@@archierickys1462 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V7KjUX4mO_Y.html He has the valved mufflers from the S model. Mine are from base C63.
@@ericbaur568 thank you so much bro appreciate you for replying and finding these videos for me your car sounds amazing and looks amazing too have a good day man
Wow, what an awesome project and results!!!thank you so much for sharing this. Did you have any issues with the C63 tips fitting the E63 diffuser? I’m considering a similar setup for my 2015 E550 sedan with a diffuser from Asian Body Kits and C63 tips both from EBay (China)
@@ericbaur568 it’s funny how the OEM E63 exhaust tips look more rectangular whereas the C63 tips appear more square in shape. I would never have guessed that no modifications would be necessary. May I ask if you picked them up from a dealership or elsewhere? Thanks so much
@@michaelsherwood3047 I found them on eBay, but made sure they were authentic by searching for the part numbers, which I unfortunately can't find at this moment. I paid about $300 for the pair. At the dealership I'm guessing it would pay least be double that.
I removed the center resonator before the mufflers. The shop would not remove anything else because they said it was against state law. Pics available here: mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w212/746904-2014-e550-exhaust-project-complete.html#post7785639
Muffler fit fine, no issues. Mufflers were off a non S model so it didn't have flaps. Pics and write up: mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w212/746904-2014-e550-exhaust-project-complete.html#post7785639
