WMD is a manufacturer of music hardware including Eurorack Modular Synthesizers, Guitar Pedals, and stand alone music instruments. Our focus is to create quality products with an emphasis on features and versatility.
More than a brand or a company, we are truly a collection of artists. Each and every one of us make art or music in one way or another. We strive to make products that we would actually use in our everyday musical lives. In order to do this we run an extensive beta testing program in which potential products get put into rigs of our employees and well known artists we have grown close to over the years. They go on tour, get recorded and gigged before they hit the market ensuring a powerful, intuitive feature set and top notch build.
This RU-vid channel will feature Tips, tricks, tutorials, performances, and product announcements.
I really like this sequencer. It can do so much . So how about a re-issue of the user manual so it contains all the necessary information? Even with my Elektron devices, I didn’t have to google that much to find infos about basic settings/ issues. I’m writing this with love as I’m a fan of your brand ❤
02:26:45 is my set! Sequencing using the @oxiinstruements One, voices were Coral (chords and one of samples), Noise Engineering Sinc Inter for bass, and drums were 1010music Micro Bitbox. Effects were Wear & Tear by @ampersandampersand and OXI Meta.
Great videos for learning this incredible sequencer. Thank you! I was wondering though if it is possible to assign the kind of Elektron probability of 1/2 (happens every other time), 1/3 (happens every third time), 1/8 (happens every eight time) etc. Does that make sense? I've been using that feature a lot on the Octatrack for cymbals and stuff.
2024.. sweet, so 2 questions.. where do you purchase those yellow "double" patch cables? They don't look like stackables. 2nd question, and I'll find out next video I suppose- can this do 2 sends/rec? pz. ;]
It's fantastic but there are times that I'd like to see him struggling less with the instrument even though that's part of the tension. Is it just me? He appears somewhat distracted by the instrument at times rather than full expression, again, unless that's what the artist truly wants, then I'm okay with it even if part of the performance lacking is part of the performance, if that's what the artist wants then that's what I want... It's not a criticism, I'm just wondering! Let me put it like this also. He's a great artist who seems to have an instrument which is not as responsive as he might want it to be at times. Like maybe 2% of the time? He seems to be able to make up for the instruments lack by the way that he puts himself into it! I mean, it's GREAT! I'M VERY HAPPY to listen to this all day just how it is! He seems very happy with the rig though, I must say!
The ability to turn any oscillators intro morphing oscillators alone is an amazing feature! So many possibilities and I love that it has mutes on it! Brilliant! Might have to add this to my potential switching modules.
Honestly, this is the most well thought out trigger sequencer. I don't have any of your modules yet, but I'm buying a used Metron tomorrow, and if it's still available, Arpitecht/Triad in a few weeks. Between those, plus Metropolix, Grids, and Euclidean Circles, my entire system will have more than enough sequencing power. Watching this series of videos helped me make the decision between Metron and Circadian Rhythms. While CR looks good, this just looks amazing. Two questions, though, if that's okay - I know that Axxent, should I get it, can only have one unit per Metron. That's cool, there's absolutely no reason I can think of why I'd need another. Also, multiple Volteras can be chained. Cool. My question is, can I connect Voltera and Axxent at the same time? And does that affect connectivity to Arpitecht/Triad? (I'm guessing this is where the S-bus comes in, jumper cables at the rear panels?) Really glad you guys are getting back in business. Thanks for this excellent tutorial series, and once you're back in the market, I'll be watching out for what you do in future. Really looking forward to adding this to my drum case. (Erica LXR, Endorphines Blck_Noir, and Bitbox 2, with a bunch of clock, logic, switching, and general utility modules.) Thanks again, hope you (or anyone reading) can find the time to answer the connectivity questions.
This has been my #1 complaint about Eurorack since it's inception. The fact that almost all of the music on it is blips/bloops. I have 5 envelopes in my rack now...and they're all fast-only attacks. Nothing with a 3+ second build time. Any of them, if you crank the attack above 50%, it just doesn't trigger at all. May have to take a few looks at this unit because I personally despise blip/bloop stuff. Sounds childish and silly to me.
Already left a comment before but just had to day tjanks again for the video. Great choice of topic and very well presented. This has changed my jam world. 👍⭐🤘🙏
As always, excellent instructional video! I look forward to any new module's you guys produce, from a WMD Fan. I have at least one of every module you guys made, and now I own this one also (only exceptions are a few of the really old ones).
Hello, unfortunately I didn't get an answer on the wmd homepage. Maybe I can get some help here. The problem is that in global mode the input range in the metron is not displayed to me. I have three Volteras and they each behave differently. On one, nothing is displayed on knob two and on another Voltera, for example, nothing is displayed on knob three. i think some function is there but i dont know which range What can I do to solve this problem. Thank you. Daniel
use our contact form. I check it daily. I'm happy to help if you can shoot me a video of what's going on. Most likely -- something got garbaged up on the memory card, and you'll need to update to the latest firmware and format all cards. The 1.51 firmware is a lot more stable with saving and recalling.
