Every since i was a little kid i fell in love with cars! over the years i have owned some really cool cars. i have personally modified and designed myself. on this channel i will make videos on anything related to vehicles. from real cars to diecast cars. also a few family blogs and HOW TO VIDEOS! follow me on this great adventure!! follow me on instagram @ carrosdiecast
Shes clean. Mine use to be but a dude pulled out in front of me and trashed my front end. I put it back together using the front clip of a bronco2 i had. Now shes a mud/trail toy.
2:12 it seems like all first and second gens rip right there 😂 2:31 i love those 2 door expos. Almost as cool as the bronco2 5:13 i wanna find a 5.0 manual 5speed 4x4 that they put in those 6:43 thats a 83-85 first gen. They were gutless with the 2.8 10:36 i like the first gen "tonka" style font badges, but i have those on my first gen because people kept stealing the older ones when id in stores 12:45Junk yard master? Man new ones aren't that expensive
This may sound weird, but I’m just being honest. I’ve watched your video series on this 1994 ford explorer sport, over a year ago. I recently purchased a 94’ ford explorer sport. Exact same color (Emerald Green)2 door 5 speed Manual. This Truck is a beast! 🔥 California has the best OBS trucks available. No rust! 💯
@@carrosdiecast3650 you’re welcome. Definitely worth the subscription. I’m blessed that the engine and transmission were replaced a couple years ago. The new engine and transmission have less than 40k miles on it. Still purrs perfectly. Going to do an oil change, engine air filter change, and spark plug replacements tomorrow just to make sure everything is brand new and clean. Watching this video was a good one. Other videos made it appear like you had to do way more to get that engine air filter opened. Thanks bro. 💯
Man I need to redo my entire house and I have no hvac experience but really would like to try to tackle it myself with a buddy who does commercial hvac. My stuff is in the attic though 🥲
You have the perfect numbers 777 great work , great video.ill consider your 777 a blessing and turn it into 778 may your vids turn into million 777 million views soon .be well Good Lord Bless you and all your Love ones...
Awesome but yea I don't see a 60 degree v6 making same if not more power than a 3.8 90 degree there is no room for intake plenum and 60 degree motors weakness was the cam splitting in half in the middle. The forged cranks maybe cause I've seen 1988 tpi 2.8 camaro with 300k on it run 7k and damn near out run a 5.3 ls truck stock 😳 it was surprising but I wouldn't try that with the truck 2.8 it was fuckn garbage either way u look at it. Still awesome tho
Faster than the Corvette?! I would have immediately put that engine in to production... WITH A FORGED CRANK!🤦 And then would have told Chevy, sorry guess you need to make the Corvette faster...🤷😁
I have to disagree. I was a Fiero fanatic in the 80's. I owned 3 Fieros back then (a 2M4, a Special Edition GT Notchback, and a GT Fastback). It was definitely Chevrolet that went to GM and complained about the Fiero. I probably still have the articles because I still have several KIT CAR magazines from the 80's. Chevrolet didn’t want another American made sports car to compete with the Corvette marketshare. Especially a mid-engine sports car. That's one of the reasons Pontiac had to market the Fiero as a commuter car. Also for insurance reasons. You are also wrong about a GM Corvette policy. GM did not have a policy that nothing could outshine the Corvette. You must have forgotten about the 86 Grand National. That car was beating Corvettes up and down the boulevard and GM didn’t care one bit.
@@hellbent7062 you can disagree all you want. As for grand national, Buick underrated the vehicle. I don't forget anything. I didn't forget about the 3.8 turbo TA that also was factory HP underrated and would smoke the Vettes of that year. Chevrolet didn't run Pontiac, GM did. That is all I said. My friend was working for Pontiac at that time, and I am sure he knows a lot about the goings on at the time. And I also had another friend that worked for yenko who new a thing or 2, god rest his soul. He built those yenko cars and was very close to Don Yenko who had more than close connection to Chevrolet and probably knew more then someone who WAS a self proclaimed fiero fanatic. That is a B.S. story.
@leemartin3977 I don't care who your made-up self-proclaimed friends are, I prefer to go by my own research thank you very much. Nobody ever said Chevrolet ran Pontiac, Mr Spinmaster. And for all smart people who dont want to take your fake ass friend's word for it, just 2 minutes of your own research will confirm Chevrolet went to GM headquarters to complain and successfully persuaded GM to side with them against Pontiac to limit the Fieros power to keep it from competing with the Corvette. Basis corperate sabatage 101. Chevrolet has always been GM's big dog. And the big dog always eat first.
I have same truck, just is 93 year. I would like getting a better mpg on a 75 mph speed. Actually at 75 mph, 2500 rpm, truck is 14 mpg comsuption. And at 65 mph, 2250 rpm, truck is 18.8 mpg consuption. I would like the obtein 75mph speed on 2200 rpm and trying to keep the 19 mpg consuption. If somebody know what gear or transm for swaping or any other trick hack, please let me know. Thanks for reading me, Greatings from Arizona. Jc✌🏻
Cool motor but 200hp is probably being generous. And the ridiculous story of it being faster than the corvette is non sense. He’s using the story of the grand national for the fiero. Grand nationals made around 270 hp out of a 3.8 v6 with a bigger turbo than the one shown here. And then to top it off, he said a crank snout ended up a block away during testing. Wow I’m embarrassed for him. Always one of those guys at car shows and swap meets.
Apparently, you do not know as much as you think. The year the Fiero was introduced, the 1984 Corvette came with a boat-anchor, iron block 205hp Chevy 350. That Corvette weighed in at just over 3000#. The base Fiero weighed in at 2458#. In theory, even given the EXACT same horsepower, the Fiero would be faster. Even if the Corvette maintained a torque advantage, overcoming over 560# of weight wouldn't be easy. Other factors would have to determine just how much faster the hypothetical Fiero would be. Also, 'faster' is a generic term. Do you mean in an 1/8 or 1/4 mi. drag race? Top speed? On a road course? Oval? Slalom? Not as 'non sense' as you think, huh? Also, you are comparing apples to oranges when you talk about the GN engine vs. this engine. You are comparing a PRODUCTION engine of the same era to an EXPERIMENTAL engine. You do understand that production engines had to be warranted and repaired if they failed during that period, right? GM was notorious for down-tuning it's engines due to warrant and production concerns. Obviously, there were plenty of SBC 350s that were making more than 205hp in 1984, just not stock in a car you could buy new at your friendly GM dealership. You just can't realistically compare a production engine to an experimental one built for maximum power to find the limits of components. FYI, the 1989 Grand Prix ASC/McLaren turbocharged 3.1 V6, an engine very similar to the one in this video, made 205 WARANTEED thru your local Pontiac dealer horsepower. I've read claims THAT motor was more than capable of close to 300hp without major mods that would have been just as possible to do in 1983. Another engine within the same family with different heads, the 3.4 DOHC, was PURPOSELY down-tuned from it's near ready-for-production 275hp to 215hp when it finally made it into the new GM W-body platform due to warranty concerns over the survivability of the 4spd auto trans. And if you DO want to talk about GN engines, ask any GN owner ,as I have talked to a few about it, THAT engine is capable of quite a bit more horsepower on mostly stock components. I don't know if all the claims made in this video are true, but I do know one thing. For every "one of those guys at car shows and swap meets" there is another guy that THINKS he knows more than they do, and probably doesn't. Maybe it's time for someone else to be embarrassed.
@@lloydeyler8608 I had a 6.5 chevy that went pretty good, never dynoed but I made it breath so mostly just had better throttle response with a little better top end speed. Beet a Cummins in a red light race and buddy was pissed. Even after I explained power to wait ratio, he was still choked. Brain washing is real and most dodge owners are morons is what I learned
@@lloydeyler8608 Boy, somebody is very sensitive. Since my comment invoked such passion, I’m guessing your that guy I spoke of. Again much like the guy in the video, you are bringing up information that is at best, hearsay. First, every engine is experimental until it’s put into production. That includes the Buick 3.8 turbo. It started with 200hp, then went to 220hp, then once McLaren joined to help, GNX, it went to 276hp, then its final year had 300hp. Do you notice how even it still being in production it’s still slowly being advanced? I can quote dozens of articles from executives at GM stating that they hated the Buick GN because it whooped up on the corvette, and everything else. I’ll state this fact, YOU CANT FIND ONE EXECUTIVE AT GM THAT WAS AFRAID OF THE FIERO SELLING BETTER THAN THE CORVETTE…the GN actually outsold the corvette until mercury marine and lotus developed the ZR1 corvette. I’m not going to respond to the various unrelated bs technical jargon that you again, made up. Embarrassing writing a novel to respond to a rational comment.
Cool motor and story but I dont know if it could make the power numbers reported with a turbo that small and without intercooler. Still interesting though.
@@carrosdiecast3650 You're welcome. Just the opinion of a 18 year technician with a fascination for pumping up odd engine platforms, some with more success than others but to be fair I have been surprised before with builds I wouldnt believe without seeing the dyno numbers myself. I drive around in a 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 with a LA 360 transplant with modest mods that makes more power than a generation III hemi especially in the torque department.
If the story of breaking cranks is true at all then it probably was making 300+hp because not many cranks are breaking in the 200 range at all. Being experimental I'm sure they weren't running pump gas and could have been using alcohol or methanol injection and possibly different turbos. That turbo looks more like a final production 60 trim T3 with a stage 5 turbine wheel, it could probably max out around 275 bhp on a 4 cylinder.
This is called a blow through setup. You don't have to run an intercooler. It would be advised but not necessary An intercooler just condenses and cools intake air from the turbo.
@@carrosdiecast3650 oops my bad. I guess I should have checked your channel a bit further instead of assuming the black and blue Fiero was yours. Still though I do like yours as well. the little sliver of red around the lip of the black rims is a real nice complementary touch to it. I truly wish pontiac didn't have to die because they sure did make some fine cars!
I have owned more than 500 cars. The Lancer Shelby was one of my favorites. The shifter top was missing so I put a Coca Cola bottle top in there. It was cool. The 89 was better handling and had the variable turbo wheel so much faster.
I still regularly see these early 90s accords driving around Los Angeles. Usually meh paint but completely rust free. Some have 500,600,700k I'm sure. Yours sounds superb and I appreciate the lack of dialogue. This is the **perfect** background noise.
Nice looking Fiero I just got me an 86 gt. Those mild steel lines that came with it are always rusted out I got 50 miles on it before the transmission cooler line started spraying. I’m getting some stainless lines in cause Fiero tends to live up to its name. If you haven’t replaced fuel and transmission them I would go ahead and do it. Rust is the biggest killer in these cars.
Thank you and thanks for the advice. I havent done anything to it since i got the car less then a week ago. Will definitely look into this if previous owner didn't have it done
