I had the opportunity to train with Dr. Spetzler and Dr. Sonntag in 1987 and I turned it down to pursue another specialty. I am now 64 and in private practice in another specialty. I have regretted my decision to not train with them nearly every day of my life. I have kept track of the BNI and all of their accomplishments. I don’t know if they remember me but my best for all you have done. I have had more admiration for the both of you than anyone I have ever met. God bless you for everything.
Joey Jean Farmer is my Fiancee. I’m very appreciative of Barrows and Dr. lawton for her recovery. We met after her treatment and I’m very lucky things happened as they did. Thank you Dr. Lawton and Barrows Hospital.
God Bless Dr. Lawton and his work. He removed my meningioma 6 years ago and I am better than ever at 71 years old. Many of us got our lives back because of Dr. Lawton and his team. Amen.

ALS entered our lives as a big mystery and a misdiagnosis. My dad, was thought to have had a stroke, which then turned into having Multiple Sclerosis, which then turned into having Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. It began with his speech. He started to slur a lot, and my mom was perplexed as to why. They went to their doctor who suspected that he may have had a stroke. After numerous tests, an MS diagnosis came back. But after a short time, and more testing, the letters we didn’t want to hear were confirmed: ALS. No one in our family, nor or friends, had ever heard of this “ALS”. Many just nodded and smiled as we told them because, like many diseases and diagnoses, others figured dad would ‘beat this thing’. All the doctors are saying is for us to manage the symptoms because ALS has no known treatment. But we did not give in to their suggestions. My persistence was what made me come in contact with a Traditional herbal doctor " Dr. kpomosa; A herbal doctor which people are talking highly of and has helped so many people with Chronic disorder. His herbal medicine was a breakthrough for my father, because after using Dr. Kpomosa's herbal medicine my dad had a complete recovery. I am sharing this to encourage people with ALS, Stroke and any other chronic disease should try herbal medicine for a lasting cure/treatment. you can reach dr.kpomosa 'on dr.kpomosa@outlook.com for more information.
@@ahmedmghabat7982 Oh damn…on which vertebra is it? Did you get surgery? I actually recovered a lot since then. I still feel that my legs don’t feel the same as before, especially my skin, but I can walk and do walk and do sports and stuff. People can’t notice that one day I became paraplegic through this diagnose. I am actually the only one really feels that my legs aren’t the same anymore. I was really lucky, but I also don’t have a comparison because I don’t know anybody who got the same. I wish you the very very best! You gotta be patient now…just take it how it is in the moment and don’t overthink it because you don’t really know how the future looks like. Try to distract yourself with people or things around you: that’s the best you can do I think.
@@mariellita6812 Nice to hear that you had recovered.. Actually a month ago i did embolization but im still feeling pain in my left leg , and my right leg had dropped . Also i lost the control of bladder and bowels. So i am paralyzed waist down . But really i am happy that you recovered . How much time it took to recover , or to start feeling better?
@@ahmedmghabat7982 yeah, I also lost the control over bladder and bowels… it’s something almost every paraplegic has to go through and nobody actually knows. Happily I also recovered from that…firstly the doctors didn’t believe that I actually had control and thought that were spasms but I was able to prove them wrong :)) Tho I am really young I also was really lucky…it is really rare that somebody recovers from that. The process of recovery never really ends, I still keep trying to get better and better. But the first time I was able to walk by myself was after approx. 3-4 months I think. How old are you? How are you doing now?
@@mariellita6812 so glad to hear that . Actually it's been 5 months after ny embolization and still not seen any recover. Getting ready tomorrow to MRI to see what happend in my body. I am 21 years old and so happy i'd found somebody who had recoverd totally . Regards
Dr. Michael spetzler invented a new way of surgery he puts the patient in a state of suspended animation or a state of death no brain activity no blood because the old way that would be a very bloody surgery so the patient is in a temporary state of death four less than an hour and is revived and the Heart Is jumped the younger the patient the heart would usually start on its own once warmed up
Dr spetzler saved my Dad Dr Estrada Arras (urology grad ucla from Mexico) from an aneurism that in Mexico was said unoperable. That was in feb or march 2000. 18 years ago. Still here my Dad. Thanks Dr Spetzler.
