Insane run mate. Is the attack focused build the best on melusine? I started playing a couple days ago and went for aftershock+power dive core build. Or is one better for solo and the other for 3/4 man?
sun wukong/piper are probably doable playing without fountains means 0 mistakes allowed in chapter 3 however, and since it takes 30 minutes to get there it can be annoying it would be trivial for someone better than me
this one was more of a "project", proof of concept about the devourer/balor's eye combo "project" videos have a few resets until I get what I want in chapter 1, I can also ragequit and start over if I make too big of a mistake (such as missing a parry on a healer's attack) I don't think I've uploaded truly crazy games in terms of RNG overall, the chapter 1 examples I've done on a few characters are run back to back and I don't reroll or even pick the wrong skills current balance of the game has multiple ways to get you into a broken state without having to try very hard
@@DefaultPam Well, I've beaten this game on Nightmare with every character, and let me tell you, none of the runs I've beat it with come anywhere close to the levels of brokenness featured in your vids where you kill bosses in a few seconds, etc.
I'm probably biased because before rerolls were implemented, a project required more time as well as specific items unlocks on a separate save, and speedruns have multiple hours of resetting where you need 4/5 good talents in a row For example, 3 talents are needed to maximize devourer and I got 2 of them at lvl 8/9 iirc
I mean pam's kinda said what the point of the video is, this kind of project video is always looking to chase the highroll to show how strong a combo can be I've beaten nightmare with every character, every talent, every ult, and every magical item set, and you are obviously right that you don't need anywhere near this level of power to beat Master Hand and Crazy Hand - but that's not really the point of the video
Well this was a very fun watch haha I've learned so much. I got a few questions - You are not collecting fountains, because you're planning from the start to get the legendary "cant take more than 30% health in a single attack" talent, combined with Wukongs lifesteal from his defense stance = basically cannot die ? The less max health you have the easier it is to heal, and get the 30% back? You're focusing on clover early on so you can get the exact talent you want, when you want it? Basically buffing the bouncing ability, getting charges for it, getting cooldown for it, getting damage for it... etc. Did I get that right? What else did I notice and wanted to ask... Ugh. It's late. My brain's burnt haha...
so yeah for this video, I specifically wanted the combo so I restarted until I got it fountains I pick 2 of them in chapter 1, but they are more of an quick opportunity than an objective I'd go for because of tamatebako in chapter 1 and how good golden coat of chainmail is for wukong, it's a very good item to hunt for
@@DefaultPam I remembered what was the last thought I wanted to ask haha... Also thanks for replying, btw :) Anyhow: How exactly do you use shift the most efficiently? Do you spam-click it and/or time it for each damage instance, or click it once and let it play out (like against the berserker/fury enemy that hits you 4-5x)? Are you supposed to not touch any buttons (no moving, no abilities, nothing) when you click shift? What's the trick, haha... Also by "shift" I mean his defense ability, the circle on your controller / in your case.
@@sc3961 when you need to build stacks, you press it frequently to get them fast some monsters and/or timing can deny button pressing like the puke ghouls moving cancels out defence so yeah you have to be careful about that once the quest is done, and you know what monsters refresh it automatically, press it once and wait until the end of the animation/their death
Yeah it can be instantly cancelled then you gain a burst of speed Attack - dash is the input, it can be done 3 times between regular dashes if you're trying StraightArrow is the RU-vidr to look for for actual good Mélusine gameplay
Love the movement tech, immediately just sprinting the map with such speed feels so good Interesting to see Sea Dance first perk, especially when Deep Beat and Bewitching feel so strong Is it just preference or do you feel Sea Dance is strongest first perk? The heal is pretty nuts
it's partly what I'm referring to with the "10% of her potential" when used properly, sea dance allows you to play a lot more aggressively and maintain damage deep beat doesn't combo well with final burst which is OP for stagger (and very good for damage ?) wait until StraightArrow uploads a video, it will put this one to shame
I gotta be honest, among everything you do here the parey usage is by far the most mindboggling to me. Looks like a straight up EVO moment for the whole video lol
it's not, nothing I do comes close to 1% of what's needed in a fighting game competition rewatching the video I probably lose 30 seconds because I get hit by basic monsters
Dude, you should put the name of the game in the title or at least in the description. This is at least important for promoting videos. I got here by accident and have no idea what kind of game this is, nothing is written anywhere!
There's currently a thread on the ravenswatch subreddit with decent advice old.reddit.com/r/ravenswatch/comments/1cf8jai/how_to_beat_nightmare_with_any_character/
@DefaultPam That was a great read, thanks for posting it. Are there any specific Piper advice you have? Most of my runs end up losing a feather and resetting the run on stage 1 in the first 2 levels before chorus + low notes comes online. And my only good runs end up being when I get those early.
@@sirkay9 Piper is a fragile hero so paying attention to monster pattern is crucial. Make avoiding their attacks your priority early game. Piper doesn't need low notes/chorus to win but it sure does make it a lot easier
This trick with talents and grimoires, doing all perfectly to get legendary before level up new talents is so fucking good to learn, thank you. But why u don't leveled new talents after upgrade olders to legendary?
