Be AMAZED by watching how the 'Paintless Dent Removal' process works from start to finish. Learn what tools and techniques are used to produce INCREDIBLE results!
Any minor distortion to the hole was straightened with a hole straightener and thick black tape was used to prevent the paint getting damaged, so there was no damage left to that hole. This is how PDR works, we access through gaps close to the repair. The alternative was to have the dent pin welded out which burns all the paint off the inside of the panel creating rust further down the line and then the panel would have been loaded with filler and painted, hoping that the paint match was correct. I know what process most people would prefer.
Curious, as time goes on do you find yourself using less bars from behind and more glue or? Us DIY guys need our hands held along the way before we go about possibly screwing up our own cars. Also cost, is a big factor. Thanks
Curious, why'd you stop putting out videos? Out of all the guys on YT so far I think you're the best at showing us which tips you're using at which stage of the repair. And would like to see if you've further fine tuned your craft to make your dent repairs easier in some way. Since most people who watch are DIYers, I'd love to see you make a couple more videos using the bare minimum/best value in tools and show us these fixes are possible without spending at least 1k in tools to do our own cars. Thanks and hopefully you keep up the good work.
Great video sir. Just got here to I've got to search to see if you have a video explaining WHAT TIPS and FOR WHAT EXACTLY. You used about 10 different tips and I have no freaking clue for what.
I always like to push the low areas whilst tapping down the crowns as that helps to give the metal somewhere to flow. Every dent is different, sometimes just by tapping the crown it can push a low up next to it but this is usually on much larger softer dents. 👍
Amazing work! But I'm a novice and don't have the confidence to do anything like that. Perhaps a sacrificial door panel from a junkyard would be a place to start. Your video was very well done with great attention to detail. Thank you for going over the steps in the process.
Amazing work I have a door that looks like that took it to two body shops and they both said door shell need replacement 2500 lol I will try pulling with the cold glue and slide hammer
What can we do if the paint cracks as we push the dent from inside toward outside. I forget to heat up the paint. Is it possibel to repair a small 3mm long crack under the clearcoat.? Many thanks for reply
@@1st_track_dents don't mind just kidding. I love your videos. I am a computer Engineer but a car enthusiast. I love watching PDR videos and would like to become PDR expert myself. It looks like a long journey. Recently i got one cheap kit from Amazon and tried on one dent and i loved it. I loved the work and satisfaction that you get in the end. Tell me about your journey or where should i start, i want to leave my job at some point maybe start doing this full time
@3:34 May I know what kind of device did you install to push the door fm/ the inside? Is it some kind of hydraulic press? I have actually like twice larger dent on our 2009 Nissan Sentra, but looks like the car columns were not deformed, just lower hinge was bent. So I think to try to straighten it. Thank you for this great film.
