Hello Keki, the information that you provided has been very helpful. I am too much interested to go for staging business but do not know where to start from. I m from Ontario Canada. Your Video has given needed information and insights. 🙏🏻
Thank you, for your video! I was wondering where you recommend getting the furniture for staging. Do you have a specific place where you get better prices on furniture?
I find that if you were interested in fashion when younger you’ll do great at staging homes! It’s kind of like fashion but for homes making cheap look expensive.
I am so glad to see that you did another RU-vid video. Because of you, I have stopped thinking about a career in staging. I complete a certification program in May and I am having a difficult time getting started. You make getting started sound easy. I viewed your recent video regarding you going into real estate due to the slow down in staging since the virus. I am wondering if I choose to make a change at the wrong time. Thank you for another informative video. Best of luck in your real estate career.
I also purchased a staging course and wasted my money. Please do your research before you take courses. A real condescending person run Thr course I took. Horrible.
You don't need to be "certified". But you need to have the natural ability & experience decorating , be business minded & researched the process, have connections & be media savvy.
Uoo Hoo- I disagree. Certification gave me a ton of insider tips that I know you would only learn taking their courses and keeping up to date with their techniques and research. The amount of research they do, that I learn from keeping up with my certification keep me ahead of the other “hobby” stagers.
Hi Keki! I’m wondering if I can send you a pic of 5 bamboo chairs I bought years ago that have been sitting in my garage forever. The goal was to have them lacquered but it was SO expensive that I never went through with it! Now I’m wondering if I should try and sell them instead? Maybe keep one and paint it myself and sell the set of 4? I’d love your opinion and how much you think they’re worth. Do you have an email address so I can send you a pic? Thanks so much! 🙏🏼🤗
I was fortunate enough to get an internship for one of the top staging companies in my area. The first day, they gave me a Non-Compete Agreement to sign and it stated that if we separated for any reason, I was not able to work for competitors or myself within 50 miles for 3 years. I was so upset! I am no longer working for them. What do you think about that?
This video was so helpful! I am researching courses and seeking real advice from people who have done them. Thank you for going into depth and comparing these two certification courses and the recommendation to read the book first. Very good advic
Thank you for taking the time and sharing this info. Ive definitely been looking into course work to go into this industry. There's just soo many schools & programs. Thank you for your input on these two that you mentioned. I will definitely be looking into them.
So basically you are saying: learn to start up a business first. One year later or so, you can learn how to stage. ????? Doesn't seem such a good idea to me. Rather take an all-in-one course. Or do both shortly after one another and then start to stage. For in your first year, you must have made a LOT of home staging mistakes! Since you didn't learn how to do that yet. It's like you learn how to start a business in photography without learnin how to shoot good pictures. But you know how to invoice, alright! Then a year later you are finally taking a professional photography course. Must have been some awful pictures at first...
Thank you so much for your videos!!! Your blog titled "Home Staging Consultation - How To Conduct Your First Onsite Consultation" indicate you were planning to make a video on how to conduct an on site consultation. Can you advise where I may locate the video? Thank you
Thank you soo much for doing this. I’m just getting started on getting information about staging. It took me a couple of years to come to this. I was a realtor, but that wasn’t speaking to me, so I left the industry. But, knew I enjoyed real estate, fixing up and flipping (I consider myself an accidental flipper), and helping people. Once I dissected what I wanted, and it had a specific name, I was so happy! I’m in the beauty business right now, but I’m looking to transition out over the next couple of years. I will take my time, so I do it right. Thank you. I’ll be hitting that subscribe button. Looking forward to following...
