Idk if I wanna continue this considering this just sucking the fun and experience of playing the game, like yeah it’s not perfect but you don’t need to point out the flaws to make it less fun
If the flaws don't affect how you play the game then enjoy it as much as you did before. I've been playing it more recently and noticed a few things that annoy me but I keep playing it because the game is still great overall
1. Mephiles and Silver are one of the coolest characters in sonic 2.Collecting medals to unlock stages was tedious 3.Uhh.... music....? this is the most npc thing you can say when asked for good things about a sonic game but i genuinely think colours is incredibly mid, like 5 or 6/10 but i guess that the one meteor level was cool
Something good in 06 its the story for me something bad in Unleashed its the wherehog And something good in colors? The whisps when they are introdush they are good if they don't use much whisps maybe they would still be good 18:49
Shadow V. Sonic animation isnt CG, it's an ingame cutscene. Biggest tip off is the Sonic model, its the lighter blue with shorter quils they've been using since Forces. I dont know why Sega doesnt update their CG model to match the new ingame model, or return the ingame model to be matching with what you see in promotional art. Its utterly bizarre to me that theres no brand cohesion here.
Thank you for calling out the Forces/Frontiers spin jump. I feel like it’s too cartoonish for a Modern Sonic spin jump; the one from Unleashed and Generations, and the rest of the animations at that, feel more realistic and suits him well. Please, SEGA, bring them back in future games. As for the movie spin jump, I kinda like it (at least it’s better than the Forces spin jump)
@@SonicDaHog you have no idea. Ever since the Summer Games fest demo until now, so many people commented of how irrelevant the use of Forces animations are to gameplay (which I also agree because it really doesn’t) but if you’re making a remaster of one of the best Sonic games then use the same animations, especially if Sonic is confirmed to be involved in Shadow Generations (most likely the rival battle)
I think it's because there isn't much to show off. I don't think more will be added than the drop dash, some skins, maybe a few extra skills, and the missing chao missions
It makes more sense to combine them because Shadow Gens requires a good amount of base knowledge since it has a deeper story. But Sonic Gens is much easier and more accessible to newcomers. Bundling them in one is the best of both from Sega's perspective
Since I started working on this video after the Sonic Central, there has been more and more info about the game nearly every day. I'll update this comment every time there's new info until the game comes out. Tokyo Game Show had a new demo including Kingdom Valley and Metal Overlord. Jun Senoue, TeddyLoid, and RichaadEB performed some songs from the game at TGS which included a remix of Westopolis, so it could also be in the game. Shun Nakamura, the producer, revealed that Shadow Generations will be nearly as long as Sonic Generations. He also said that the Open Zone White Space will become more open as you progress through the game with more powers. Brian Shea was able to play through an earlier build of the game and interview Iizuka. He confirmed Radical Highway as it's own zone. Doom Wing require 50 rings to be used. More stages will have something similar to Space Colony Ark where Black Doom manipulates the stage and transforms the world.
06 has the best soundtrack in the series imo Unleashed is dragged down by how long werehog stages take to complete Colors has incredible visual design that still allows it stand out despite being mostly 2d sonic game
In my opinion, I think they should stop trying to force multiplayer into the series altogether. Some games just aren't meant for that. They just work better as singleplayer games, and that's ok. However, I'd be lying if I said I dont wanna be proven wrong.
Not really, the game has its faults in many areas but it's coop suffers for different reasons such as the camera, respawning, speed jungles butterflies and speed based level design
Not really, it would either be just as boring as Sonic 2 (like it is) or just as dumb as superstars. Maybe it could've been a bit better in encore mode, and they really should have brought back the power ring for that. That plus switching characters mid level could be really hype
Great video ! 👍 For the multiplayer in sonic colours, when a player is offscreen the game pauses as you said, although you can see an arrow where one of the players went offscreen, when the offscreen player flicks the stick in the arrow's direction actually pulls back the camera to save them, it also pushes the other player back to give them some time to catch up !
I think you forgot one of the bigger issues with advance 3 is with the partner system like some combination are better than others like for example knuckles & tails is a good team for exploration (best team to find chao by far) but tails & knuckles is a pretty bad team where tails uses a shittier glode & no climbing so you had to find the right combination to make sure both characters benefit from it (also just curious what happens if the other player unlocks characters while the other doesn’t)
I like to imagine that the classic Sonic in Generations, due to his knowledge, would accidentally change his course of history and become the Sonic from _Mania._
1. I like Shadows story a lot and his theme is good 2. The long stages of werehog later in the game were pretty draining mentally 3. The entire OST and designs of the actual levels were great and the aqua park was my favorite
I definitely agree a frontiers like co-op game couod be sooooo good the lego batman cameo wasnt something i expected but i definitely agree with your points in the earlier lego games tge screenbwould only split when the two players were separated but with tge more newer ones its always split screen and i kinda hate the second option it feels unnecessary like BRO WERE IN THE SAME SPACE WHY DO WE NEED TWO SCREENS! I just really hope they take the second option for a frontiers 2 anyways lovedthe vid da Hog im definitely gonna stick around also congrats on hitting 1K
Great video as always, you're getting really good at this style, better than me that's for certain. As for 2d Sonic multiplayer, I just don't think it belongs. A VS mode is probably the best they can do. Split screen would technically work but there's no real reason to play coop in 2d sonic. It's not like mario where you collect star coins together for instance. Also, hype boom video cameo
maybe if you are playing on a widescreen.... i mean the whole point of sonic is you are going fast, you need to see alot infront of you otherwise it just gets increasingly harder
That's very true and also if you're going fast its basically the same as each person playing separately but with half a screen. 2D Sonic games just don't really have many cooperative elements
