I think it's everything good that sauron possessed left him when he died, killed by Adar. If you watch episode S2e1 when Sauron dies, a blue light launches up towards the sky but then shows suron in the depths of where he died. I believe you're witnessing sauron selling his soul to have another shot at ruleing. That's how he became truly a soulless being. And he will kill the stranger his soul to create the one ring.
You never read any of the books obviously. Read Beren and Luthien. The Song duell bezween Sauron and Finrod Felagund. The show makers do not give a sh..t about Tolkiens story.
I do think there is something to this tbh. In the latest episode there’s a part where Sauron has made an illusion and a couple walks by in it and he looks at them in curiosity I think, it was like 55mins in
