Interesting video but DREADFUL, AWFUL voice over, full of pronunciation errors. Also "short run from 1963 to 1981" - that's a SHORT run??? How about getting e real voice instead of this poor imitation of one?
4:33 where I used to work there were a LOT of warehouses, some of many of major companies. Wasn't unknown to see Lamborghini and stuff. I remember being at the traffic lights with one of these maybach besides me.
Amazing video. Thank you! As an owner of multiple MBZ cars over the years (111, 113, 115, 124, 126 and 140) this just makes me sad when I look at the range of cars they offer today.
Please don‘t say “Maybuck“! The correct pronunciation is “Mybuch“ with the “ch“ sounding like the Mexican ‘J‘ in ‘José‘. And the 300 (“Dryhundert“) is called “Ah-denower“ after the first postwar German chancellor. And „Rolls Royce“ is double stressed (the names of the inventors with Royce being the construction guy).
Super-Mercedes / stretch limo. Merce. with face-to- face seats was discovered in 1955,- the idea later adapted by U.S. for Cadillac, Rolls Royce, Lincoln,... Kolkata, India, & SHARE.❤
The guy didn't value money so he wasn't paid with money. I see nothing wrong here. He wasn't abused or mistreated. People getting upset at this is such an ignorant response. The producers didn't need to "save" him from his culture, as if there was something wrong with it in the first place.
At first I liked the Mercedes-Benz 600 because of its style but after hearing the cars history and influence It's now my favorite luxury car of all time!
Its so sad that the US/UK Invadors stole Sadams 600 and brought it to a Car Collector that claims he "retiteld" the Vehicle. This Car belongs to the Iraq and their People!
All horrible leaders except prince siihanouk ,and even Leonid Brezhnev, both decent men , though brezhnev was so nice that he put all his old pals in power , he would have made a great local mayor or something like that but not a world leader ! , good man though as was Gorbachev , Khruschev and even Andropov
The Official car of German Engineering, timeless masterpiece, and His Excellency, President for Life, Field Marshal Al Hadji Doctor Idi Amin Dada, VC, DSO, MC, lord of all the beasts of the Earth and Fishes of the Seas and conqueror of British Empire in Africa in General and Uganda in Particular.
The car of my dreams (my dad bought one new in 1966), I recently had the opportunity to be driven in a gold SWB limo version ( like in the the video, one of 15 built...). It was for sale and a car collector friend of mine asked me to check it out. How do you say no??
@@shabbos-goy9407 Actually my dad was not rich, he simply didn't spend money without necessity and when he had to buy something it was only the best. It worked because he left me an inheritance, which today more and more seems to be a rarity.
@@shabbos-goy9407 My dad was an artist so he did what he wanted. In those days a 600 SWB started at about $15,000, when a Cadillac Fleetwood was $10K. Our neighbors next door had two Fleetwoods, a black one and a silver one (his and hers), and traded them in every 2-3 years. The guy was a lawyer. My dad kept the 600 ten years and in the end spent a lot less money.
Our late King Birendra also had one. He was not a bad man. Recently it was discovered in a underground parking while muncipality was trying to find a lost river.
Fun fact: the Pablo Escobar 600 was destroyed in the 90's in an attack to one of his garages, he used to collect cars and motorbikes. Is displayed in Hacienda Napoles in Colombia completely destroyed :"c
