I'm an ISTP and have been in this kind of situation. Rest assured he actually doesn't give much of a sh1t at all what her friend thinks of him. He only cares for his girlfriend. If his girlfriends friend is thinking he has to conform to impressing her he literally won't care. He'll notice. But he just won't consider them that much of a priority. If her friend is going to be bitchy he'll just be honest and blunt about it. And that's us being nice.

Based on what they were saying, it would be Te. Se is about sensory, not cognitive topics. I wasn't aware it was Te before this episode though because just about every Fe I know does it too. I'm guessing there are slight differences between the two, like Te may focus on logic with other people and Fe may be focused on the feeling 🤷🏻♀️
@jrayphd The reason why I thought it was Se is because Se concerns itself with what other people are doing. For example, I often hear ESFPs or ISFPs say things like " a lot of people tell me XYZ" "Everyone is obsessed with XYZ"

as an infp i love istjs and tend to gravitate towards them but dear god they can be such idiots and cowards in the emotional realm. i believe it stems from a place of fear above all else. and for that i have empathy.
In this case, they've actually only known each other for about a month. Love is Blind is a social experiment where couples date and propose to each other BEFORE physically seeing each other, and then after meeting, they have 3 weeks to decide whether they're going to go through with the engagement. The final decision usually happens at the altar. Always lots of interesting personality dynamics & conversations.
I love INFJs, they (and ISFJs) are some of my closest friends. As an ENFJ, I can detach from the Fe and just observe but only because my dominant function isn’t needed at that time so I can go inward. When Fe is firing on all cylinders though my Ni is subservient to the Fe and supports it. I’m throwing out analogies like crazy to get to my point, occasionally throwing out a personal story with some Se details. Also yes, I dislike using Ti to deliver hard truths.
It has been so interesting to me as someone who doesn’t feel secure in my guess that I’m in INFJ (because of so many mistyped, I constantly doubt), how much I relate to your Ni descriptions. After a therapy session a couple weeks back, where I was having trouble breaking out of a certain, probably inaccurate mindset about a situation, I randomly turned on off your other Love is Blind analysis videos. And you were talking about how Ni dominant users often have a one track mind about things. And I was like “Haha what a coincidence.” I was able to get through this mindset to a more rational and open one by a lot of journaling. I was telling my therapist this process this week and how things are just so unclear in my head, like so jumbled haha… Until I can do quite of externalizing, I’m learning. And you’ve discussed a similar concept in this video. Just mind blowing 🤯 haha

As I’ve spent time learning here and there over the past couple of years, your videos have helped me to learn the most by applying theory to real world examples. So thank you for that!! I do relate to that video so much! My mind seems to always be mapping out pathways for various situations based on what’s currently happening, and there always seems to be a most possible pathway my mind latches on to the most and thinks about often - how to prepare myself for it. If I can’t really flesh out a pathway for a situation or they’re constantly changing because of uncertainty in the present, it can be very overwhelming. Also it was really funny when as you started saying that NJ types want to go with the flow but would rather be more prepared, I was literally thinking in my head at the same time “I would really like to just go with things but would want to prepare myself if I can” hahaha!
I really enjoyed this as a INFP with a INFJ partner he can sometimes space out as his social battery runs out which surprisingly needs more alone time than I do. When we first meet and I was getting to know him he wouldn't give much context about himself as clearly as INFPS would. INFJ's seem to unravel themselves slowly in relationships as like you said they are cautious about showing themselves beyond just using Fe as their wall of, in a way focusing on the other person.
Freddy seems classic ISFJ to me. He is so routine and does the same thing every day. As an INFJ I could never. Edit: I watched the video through and I can see him being INFJ, but he has to be pretty healthy. His Se feels balanced, and also he could’ve been in an Se-grip when he cheated

I think one of the reasons is 16personalities gives out the infj result very readily... But also, it can seem relatable somehow to many, for different reasons. I've actually mistyped infj for about 4 years even though I've learned a lot about MBTI. I'm actually ENFJ. In my case I think it was also because the descriptions for EFJs can seem like they're super human who have millions of friends from day 1 and are super socially smooth and super active in every context... but, maybe for EJs especially, context and upbringing can have important effects. With intj I never related 😅 Anyway, not trying to say anything about you! Just that there is something that leads many to mistype as infj, so maybe that's why it feels like the internet is full of them. Also, understandably MBTI would be interesting for infjs :)
Another great video! Your content goes so much beyond the surface level at which many MBTI videos remain. Grateful for the emphasis on how infjs can just be normal people. Most of us are just people, no matter our MBTI type, and more unusual/special people can be of all kinds of types. I always love how you're providing these real life examples. Fe auxiliary is an interesting thing... What you guys pointed out with Freddie made me think of an ISFJ friend and how she has and can meet with a lot of friends but often even while on her own event her face would be sort of.. in concentration maybe (not the Ni zoning out but.. processing? Kinda looks like she's filing and perhaps vetting the stuff that's being said) and not that engaged and creating/responding to the feelings.
What’s funny is that I 1000% knew why Freddie was saying what he was saying, and I didn’t need the context, as I could see that it was true given his fiancées micro interactions throughout all of their scenes. From the beginning I knew Freddie was too good for her, I was hoping he would say no for his sake. Ironically I’m an INFJ also. It isn’t about the BIG things that happen, but rather the small, everyday things that give away who a person truly is. It adds up. So he wasn’t guessing, he was accurately describing a summary of very small observations, which is why he didn’t give examples. It’s not an assumption based off of a singular event, but rather a summary of many.
Yeah I think he has created the impression in his mind based on several things. But I think what Eric and Z meant was that he was not pointing to the data that got him to that point. Also, while it might seem like just truth, and might be, these were still guesses, right? I mean, he couldn't know that she'd indeed be unsatisfied with him or that she wasn't what she was showing him, because these are guesses about the future and about something not being shown. Might indeed be true! But still, guesses. Have you watched the reunion? Honestly, I didn't think Cat was a bad person, and she might've gotten a bit of an unkind edit throughout big parts of the show. I just think they're not a good fit. I also don't think there is something inherently bad in liking some "bougie" stuff? But that's a personal thing and it's totally okay if he feels that's not for him.
As another INFJ, usually when I'm saying these "guesses" about how I feel I may let down someone else, it's just a form of Fe. There's a lot underneath about how I (factually) am already not happy with them. It's just uncomfortable to share that part unless pushed. I think he was using INFJ-speak for "I wouldn't be happy with her."

I think any type is going to be more likely to show/express emotion/feelings in extreme, intense situations, esp one personally heavily invested in. Superbowl def would qualify as one of the most intense moments of your life!🏆🏈❤️🔥
I have this combo, though my bf is the ESFJ and i am ENTJ! I would think the female being the ESFJ makes it more balanced "traditionally" speaking. Often my bf and i find our expectations of what should be done in terms of the masculine and feminine rolls is more skewed, I'm more independent and like to stick with an ideal plan for our lives that doesnt necessarily align with what hes used to. The most basic issue we might run into is i'm less attuned to cooking and cleaning since im always either studying or working, it's very hard for me to "think about others" and do things for them from the perspective of what they may need or ask of me. I may impose let's say financial restrictions and rules that fit how i think will help us arrive to our goals more easily, while he may politely nitpick how i should be dressing or blending in with our given environment and "respect the code/people there" so he would forward cash for me to do that, even if i could care less about buying a new appropriate outfit that fits their standards. While i might be annoyed that he doesn't stick to the plan without my reminder, he may stress "that's all i ever care about", so in his eyes i may appear more narrow minded and intense. These were arguments that popped up here and there but we mesh well otherwise and find we have complementary styles of approaching things as long as we come forth and talk about them openly.

Annoying is subjective. Superficial? How is working to create connection and to take care of others' needs superficial? We can look for ways to tear others apart and live in a dog-eat-dog world. But we can also live in a more connected world where we have people we can feel have our backs and can stand with us dealing with some of life's challenges. No, it's not a utopia and not everyone is gonna like everyone. Still, people might surprise you if you look at them with a more sympathetic eye.
I have been typed by others as an ENTJ or ESTJ and that comes as a rude shock, since I don't think I'm unfeeling and often typed myself as ENFP. However, I relate to how you explain the cognitive function and realized I'm not as cold and unfeeling, but rather very detached lol!
The lady who was shopping with the INFJ guy seems to have such a bad attitude. Who wants to be in a relationship where your partner is going to lash out at you for rubbing your arm or back? I can't imagine that he'll want her around in the long term.
