Thanks for this overview! I've had it on our shelf and was trying to figure out who to play it with. We never take time penalties when playing these types of games - like you, we'd rather have fun with the puzzles than worry about a penalty.
Best teach I've seen of this game thus far! Thank you! I was getting so overwhelmed by it all but once you showed us, it was like Okay, easy peasy, we got this!
Anyone know what the odd set of 6 cards that aren't mentioned in the video are for? I genuinely can't find anything online, they have the 4 quadrant crest on the back, 2 for each temple type.
Ironically i just bought this game yesterday! A lot of places are sold out/out of stock. I dont think Lucky Duck Games is making this game anymore? I will go over the instructions on how to play later on.
Hello there, First of all very nice review. I was considering to get a copy of the game that I found in offer but I will be playing mostly 2 player with my partner. Does it scale well at 2 players? Thank you
Try the starting bonus tiles before turn 1. They give you a flying start! Makes turn 1 also have capital action (and it gives you more than your cards in hand can give you)
My sister-in-law and I watched this, and the first video, trying to learn. We came out of it with a (sort of) better understanding of the 'Dark Towers', but we still didn't come out of either video having figured out much about how to actually play. You explained certain mechanics, but personally I fell you spent too much time talking up the game than explaining it in detail. This isnt meant to be rude at all, but I wanted to give some hopefully constrictive criticism. In the future of your 'how to play' you should include a portion of the videi simulating what you actually would do in game. How you earn doom, spend power, earn the spell books, how you do basic actions like moving around the board, and how you earn the trophy markers that give extra doom, for example. This could be at the end of videos after you've explained the gameplay and elements so the viewer could see it in action. You don't have to do a whole game, just simulating a piece of the game where you'd do those actions so viewers could see it be done! I hope this wasn't rude at all, if anything came off as rude I certainly didn't mean for it to come off that way :)
If not this video I would have zero idea that game exists! What's even better, that game was translated into my own language too (although the symbols are very universal).
The expansion board even has the other half of the moon printed on it, so it joins perfectly and yet .... With that said, nice detailed explination on the contents and the gameplay 🙂
I noticed on 8:53 your hiker skipped the first site and moved to the sunshine tile (#2). Is that allowed or the hikers must occupy the next empty trail spot? Great video by the way!
