It’s to save on links. They can ship the watch with precisely the number of links that are required to go on your wrist. Thus saving the money in link manufacturing cost, additional savings for precious metals.
Without a doubt, Air King blows by all of the other watches in your collection. The design uniqueness and Bloodhound backstory is going to make it a highly collectible Rolex in the future. More hated Rolex end up shooting in value!
A Rolex a daily beater ? Yes. In effect, they are designed for that. I’m lucky enough to own an Air King and treat it with care. I also own a Casio F91W. It is also treated with just as much care.
I wanted the air king for a long time and ended up with the explorer. I love the crown guards, and the green. But honestly its a bit too busy for me. Why do you need all those numbers? Lol i just passed up a newer air king for 6k in the box. So you can say my mind is set on explorer. Now if the air king had a date this would be a totally different opinion
