GREAT collection Marvin! I've also been hooked since 1970 when I use to wear the tuning strings in my old Regency and Radio shack tunable's out. I'm 74 and remember the low-bands well, what fun listening to LA county FD on 33.98 back then. I lived in NE Ohio. Still love and listen and DX daily to low band. Thanks for all your postings!!
If they take care of the elderly someone that passed probably came back to visit hey did your dogs pick up on the ghost cause they can sense that stuff I was fixing to walk in my room one day an my dog was growling looking in the hallway where I was standing I say what’s wrong girl she walked up to the side of me an you know how dogs smell from the feet up well that’s what she did but on the side of me scared the shit out of me
Best scanner I had was a 10 channel E. F. Johnson crystal controlled that worked much better than most of the digital units now, now use an old ICOM W32A ham tranceiver fir local PD, EMT and railroad frequencies not setup for any of the NEW scrambled PD & FD 🤠
That hurricane damaged my roof and got water damage and just now getting some body to inspect my house to get a insurance claim my roof was already damaged from the my storm in houston center point has been in my area this week installing tripsavers to get the power back on faster next time but my concern is will my house get fixed.
@@DavidLe-vr1xl Yeah me to my claims adjuster took pics of all the damage if it would have been a cat 3 i would have lost the whole roof since the hurricane center point installed trip savers to get power back on faster the next time some areas they installed metal telephone poles.
I'm Dutch and don't know all that much about American trains, but why are there three locomotives? The train can't be that heavy right? And I thought the P42 was a beast anyway
I grew up in this area while most fire apparatus still have this radio in their fleet it’s mostly a base to base simplex fire EMS mutual aid net as most fire depts in that area also provide EMS. Also multiple towns have 911 centers vs as many regional dispatch centers
I'm not sure I understand why Amtrak places its locomotives all facing forward. Back in the day, when railroads were using E and F units, they usually placed two A units back to back. This avoided having to turn the locos around at the end of a run.
I just got one on ebay, on off knob has a very soft click, no display or sound. I found the troubleshooting guide on radio reference, will have to start checking chips, resistors, and capacitors to see if I can get it going. Thanks for the video! I heard this was the first 800mhz scanner ever made, is that true?
