Started posting videos for the owner of what is now dubbed "Project Whitey". Along the way, I've decided to let the camera roll on just about anything that needs to be done to maintain that thing we call The American Dream".
Some patience required. I don't post on a regularly scheduled basis! I do, however, try to maintain some continuity. Check the playlists I've created that stay with a particular vehicle or project.
If you have cars, trucks, tractors or parts for sale, post them on www.elderlyiron.com.
Here's to having some fun and learning along the way!
Im so sorry to hear that yt has screwed another great channel due to their ridiculous rules ! Just saw you on the phone with classic truck rescue ! Hope your doing great ! A pissed of subscriber at you tube !
For those who come back here, I have been permanently locked out of my channel. I cannot create a new channel because RU-vid will not allow creation of a new channel without a cell phone number. We don't have cell service here, so unless they respond to my repeated faxes, I won't be able to post anything.
-- Sorry to hear that you're dealing with a RU-vid nightmare all over again Jeff... but I do have one suggestion that you may ponder over for the future: if you can get someone you know and trust to help you out, use their cell phone number. As long as they're willing to accept the text message with the code from RU-vid and just give you a ring on your landline so you can punch it into your computer then you'll be good to go. I know that there may be more to it than that but being that I don't run a channel that has anything on it, it was what I could come up with for a solution to your problem. I do realize of course, that unless you can get RU-vid to respond to you in some fashion, your channel may remain locked forever. It just kills me that we could put a man on the moon in 1969 in the equivalent of a Spam can... yet things like this can't get straightened out in a day or less. One would think that with all their billions and massive profit every year that RU-vid could supply more folks to just answer the phone from a channel owner. Here's to hoping it all works out at some point in the near future. Best wishes! - Max Giganteum
@@MaxGiganteum First, find someone willing to go through the hassle, then take the chance that they're readily available at the time of need. While one might be willing. After the second time it would get old pretty fast. Biggest issue is that I can't get into the channel to change the phone number! Which, by the way, is what YT recommended at one point. Dolts...
It appears you forgot the rear output shaft bearing in the housing before you press in the seal and yoke. Explains the side play you were experiencing. Won't last long without it.
RU-vid has locked him out of his channel. He cannot post videos or even comment. RU-vid's 2 step verification system sends a verification code by text to his land line and they don't have a cell signal where they live. There is no means of contacting RU-vid other than by fax or US Postal service, both of which they have not responded to.
I've noticed that on my 64 Galaxie I get the maximum idle speed and vacuum at about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 turns on my autolite 4100. Turning past three does not increase idle. I'm confused as why it does not start to stumble from running too rich?????
He is taking the piss out of us again we just settle into watching his videos and he buggers off no sorry I have not had time been ill died just nothing very disappointing Jeff

@@EchoCanyonRanch1 My mistake then sorry having said that I did give him a simple option get a cheap pay as you go mobile and give it to a friend who has a good signal they could send the verification code in an email problem solved but what do I know.
-- Locked out of the channel again... I figured it was something like that. It wouldn't be the first time now would it? You've just got to love that RU-vid thing sometimes huh?!? - Max Giganteum
im sure 12 years later yo have a method that works well, I saw a video recently of someone that filled the pipe with sand which resulted in a much easier twisting according to him

for not every having worked on an old OMC, you sure have alot of experience i can tell (with other motors). Wide open throttle on a 2 stroke wont make any difference on a 2 stoke, FYI. I cannot tell you how many people try to run or crank these bone dry with no oil! the impeller has to be changed i know this is old but worth mentioning. the electric shift was an excellent simple system, but the harnesses often need to be replaced from neglect. if its got 12v to the solenoid and the plunger isnt stuck, she will shift! amazing how many people think they are junk when they are so simple !
I had same problem with my harley i did same thing drill a hole i found out hard way i put the new cap on went for a drive the it left me on side of the road
I've been a bit slow with the comments Jeff, sorry. Turns out I had couple of weeks booked at a local ICU I didn't know about. They fixed me up and sent me right back ( most of me ), so with. you, Tony, and myself we should probably form a club. 8-)
FACTORY Police package option cars come with blueish green silicone synthetic hoses and fuel lines... *they last pretty much the life of the vehicles...
I lived in Massachusetts for nearly 40 years and never heard of that state forest y'all mentioned. It's better here in Tennessee. BTW, I was there when the lights all went out in Massachusetts.
Thanks for the video update. I knew that we had passed D-Day and I was wondering how things went and at least we now have one of the final pieces of the puzzle with this video.
