Thank you everyone for checking out my RU-vid channel! My name is Derick and I take videos of anything car related, I love all cars! Especially mini trucks! Support the dream by subscribing!!
Thanks man!! I got to start doing some more modifications to this truck again soon!! It needs an exhaust pretty bad just to help divert the fumes from going into the cab when I have the top off ahhaha
Yeah I washed my engines every time I washed vehicle. Had a skip my buddy popped the cap inside was green😂oh well live and learn happy you found the problem.
everything has been great so far, the only other part I should've changed out which like you said live and learn is the insulating cap behind the rotor. I guess that can also cause you some odd issues, unfortunately it's like $60 for a plastic Circle, but I think it'll be worth it! Other than that, the car has been great so far!
you just have to look up header for Nissan hardbody 2.4L online, I think you can get them on eBay, but they're all the same one across all the websites
if you're speedometer doesn't work, your odometer won't work from my understanding if you fix your speedometer and your odometer still doesn't work then it may be something in your gauge cluster
And by the way, in response to your comment about custom vans, they are still a huge thing ! We just hung out with my bud Glenn from drop jaw vans magazine at the Van Nationals in Massachusetts recently and believe me when I tell you .... Custom vans are still really huge ! Unless you aren't a Vanner ....you won't know !
you can message me on Instagram @japanese_minitruck I can help point you in the right direction, there's a guy called bram nissan on facebook who i bought mine off of!! unfortunately it's not an aftermarket panel. It has to be cut off another factory truck.
sorry to sound silly asking this, but do you mean Cape Cod or Cape Elizabeth!? I haven't been to Cape Cod, but I should definitely bring this out towards Cape Elizabeth for some beautiful videos and pictures once I'm a little further along with it!! First things first is to get all the maintenance out of the way, once I have it running perfect I'm going to get a radio in there and I would love to get the windows tinted after, just the basics to start, The next thing I have to do is figure out if I wanna stay static or if I want to juice or bag it, I haven't quite figured out, but is the biggest question right now!
Let me ask you a quick question! We have a 1997 Nissan Hardbody D21 Pickup. The fuel lid door cover will NOT stay closed! The "Fuel Lid Door Lock" is worn-out. I HAVE purchased a brand new one! Do you know how to replace the Fuel Lid Door Lock please? I've worked on cars for MANY years...but THIS is a new one! Thank you so much!
on my fiberglass bed sides kn the purple truck i use a small storing magnet to help keep my door shut! but on a regular truck i'll have to take a look too see how to pull one off as i don't quite remember
the stance looks so nice. i just grabbed a 2018 in black. stock wheels, i think the only mod is the k&n cold air intake, but damn ... this vid is making me rethink on upgrades. i ordered pilot 4s all seasons to be installed this week. plan to keep it for awhile so theres pleny of time. it feels great to enjoy cruising again.
The first gen Celsior wing mirrors were all electric... they folded in, adjusted electrically, they had a "shimmer" button which would vibrate the mirrors to shake off water from rain or dew and they also auto tinted when high beams were sensed from behind, which worked in conjunction with the interior rear view mirror which had the light sensor in it. The CF package also had heated rear seats with back massagers and the rear had it's own separate air con/climate control. It also had an "office setting" where the front passenger seat would fold into the dashboard at the push of a buttom (1 button in the rear arm rest and 1 on the front dashboard) to make room in the rear seat to stretch your legs with a laptop. They also had "speed sensing steering"... the faster you drove, the stiffer the steering got to eliminate bump steer. They also had "ride sensing suspension"...the suspension would constantly change according to the road surface and the faster you drove, the lower the suspension would go (automatically) and would also stiffen up for better handling. Also, when you stopped at a red light, the engine would shut down 4 cylinders, one at a time, to save fuel. Oh, and they were SPEED LIMITED to 250km/h from factory! I had my limiter disabled and pulled 352km/h out of it (219mph)!
@JapaneseMinitruck A truly amazing car mate! They sold for 220K in Australia. By far THE BEST car I've ever owned. If you can find a (rare) UZ CF, grab it, it was THE flagship of all the models and is still the best model they ever built. That's the C spec, F package, which came with the adjustable air bag suspension (could adjust 17 height settings). Mine also had black windows and 18ct gold plated badges from factory!
how’d you make your running lights your blinkers? can you keep your blinkers and convert those to running lights? i wanna do that and tint them yellow for fogs
all you have to do is switch around the plugs from the corners to the blinkers, you might have to extend the wires to your old blinkers you're now running lights!
@@JapaneseMinitruck Cause I drive in city only for business and I have put in 5 clutch kits... every one makes a funny noise and I have to bleed the clutch every 3 days.
@dnadnadna743 if you're bleeding your clutch every three days, then you have air getting into your system whether it's a bad clutch slave, a bad master cylinder or one of the lines is busted, probably one of the first two, are you changing your throw up bearings as well? It might not be the clutch it might be your transmission That's bad if it's making noise and you're changed your clutch that many times.
Need amber bulb for the front clear lens. If skips or idles rough, I would do plugs and distributor cap/rotor next. Then clean Idle air control valve. Next determine if the injectors have been cleaned or replaced recently. The injector seals are a common problem if they fail. Look for vacuum line issues including rubber mount on the base of the fuel distributor / intake assembly. The car will probably be solid if you look after these and related details. I own 4 1990 W124 at present and have driven same since 2000. They are reliable with attention such as what you're doing so far. Good luck.
thanks for the advice! I just left the stock clear bulbs because I don't want you to see an amber bulb sitting behind the clear lens, I could always switch over to an LED bulbs and all of my clear lenses on my cars, so far after doing the fuel pump, the car has been great, next is the OVP relay, I think that'll help with my hard start and my check engine light coming on when there's no key in the ignition, I'll take a look into the other things though for sure!
Unfortunately, a couple bubbles on some doors underneath the super clean, if I got that fixed, and then like the paint corrected, I think it would look really sharp!
I think its so funny when you're looking at some old trucks while there's an NSX in the background just casually. But those trucks were insane, especially the hydraulic box one
i did a small walk around on the nsx later in the vid hahaha, the nissan hardbody's are super scarce where i live and was super hyped too see some other custom ones all in the same place! even if i have seen them before hahaha
