Shame the proper rotating bars were not used. Toronto doesnt use thin LED bars. The have a rotating bar set up. Little old school but neat. Good replica
@@canadianwing Unfortunately i quit working for apron..but i'm now trying to go for the otherside of the mic. I'm currently working on my PPL in LSMF. Maybe we'll meet one day over there! Cheers
@@canadianwing Nope definately not going to horizon ;D I applied with Swiss/Edelweiss but that was about a week before corona started.. So they had to decline, due to an application stop issued by lufthansa. And because i can't wait much longer, due to the age restriction at EDW/SWR, i decided to do it privately and (if possible) without any depts. And i'm the guy waiting for HB-SGL to be repaired because someone destroyed the starter...
@@gummel82 I'm sorry about the starter issue! but hey, new panel is on the way ;) did I add you to the mfgm whatsapp group on the weekend? if yes that was me
@@canadianwing Hope you didn't think I was picking on your RTF skills (which are very good btw). As an average private pilot, I thought it was funny and imagined myself needing some clean underwear if I heard that in my headset :) I am also based in Switzerland so it is not impossible to happen. Is the current pandemic preventing you from flying? I hope not so... you can continue giving us these treats. Great channel. Great educational videos. Thanks you for this.
@@BrMln10 no worries but had a few people message me about it :) RTF in Switzerland is very strict so I often stand out with the north american way of saying things. you fly out of where? will be doing LSMF-LSZH-LSMF Wednesday with the TB20
@@canadianwing I fly from Kaegiswil (LSPG). Think I've seen a video of you landing there. I find videos like these useful to get to "know" new airfields even before flying to them by X checking the video against charts, AD Info, VAC etc and even practice RTF with pause-play-replay. And honestly while doing this, I haven't been able to spot any RTF errors in your videos but maybe I am not proficient enough. If anything I'd say you stand out for making it look effortless and natural unlike other channels or what I sometimes hear while flying (ATC included not only pilots). Some people seem to stop for a coffee break between sentences. Hope the messages you receive are not negative. If they are, here is a good way to address them :D ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Vqbk9cDX0l0.html Keep up the good work and enjoy your flight Wednesday :)
@@BrMln10 hey! gee feeling flattered here. to be fair my RTF skills are rather sloppy when it comes to wordings. for example, at 1:59 I should have added Hotel-Delta-Lima at the end, here I just said affirmative. of course the radio was not busy and it was obvious that it's me but not 100% correct of me. same at 3:24 and in other videos there are similar mistakes to be heard ;) for me flying in and out of LSZH rather often confidence, situational awareness, understanding the procedures and options depending on traffic IFR/VFR traffic in the area are of essence to optimize the flow and predict what options ATC might throw at you. agree with you on the lengthy and often slow/unprepared radio work of some. it's never a good idea to key up the PTT and THEN think of what you actually want to say. catch myself often before I key up saying the sentence to myself first and THEN push and talk :) glad you enjoy the videos! and yeah made it to LSPG twice, with the TB20 and C172! bouncy runway you guys got!!!
