This channel is run by the Eovolt UK distributor. Eovolt offer the lightest folding electric bikes on the market that are extremely stylish due to the innovative use of the seat post as the battery.
Its an amazing bike and has just been awarded Cycling Electric Magazines "Editors Choice" award. In their own words "The Editors Choice award is an indication of the product being very special and market leading"
@@Met182 That is the Mineral Blue. The lighting for the video can make it it look a little different. Use the product shots on the eovolt UK website for seeing the colours that were taken in a photographic studio
I’m an Eovolt Confort owner and will be looking to upgrade to a Pro in the near future. What is the gear range compared to gears on my existing bike? Thanks.
Hi Mike Well you are going from 7 manual gears to 2 automatic gears that may sound like its worse. However the extra torque/power in the motor through the belt drive and the clever way the automatic system works means you have a similar ratio range of assistance. Just when you think id like a different gear the bike does it for you automatically, its very cool. We rode the pro up one of the steepest roads in the UK to demonstrate the versatility of the pro bike. That video is on the channel.
We have 2 ranges at 2 different price points. Watch our tech/spec video on the Afternoon Origins to see the attantion to detail and quality of our standard range
Just bought a 2nd hand Eovolt, came to the youtube and saw you're riding it around near my home village. Loved the Guild Wheel as a kid, what got me into cycling
£2000+ is a lot of money, my current regular bike cost me £600 and that was the most I'd ever spent on a bike before but I am tempted by the ebike and I like the look of these Afternoon ones very much. I wonder do you ever have sales or is £2199 always the price?
Honestly the wide fat tyres act like air suspension, handles canal tow paths and bridleways with ease. Also suspension forks significantly add weight, our customer polls always have weight as the most important criteria to them. Thanks for the comment
The max load is 25kg and you can use a child seat if you stay within the load. However we wouldn't recommend it as it would give a rear weight bias to a smaller wheeled bike.
I believe that, the reason of these bikes be foldings, is to be folded, lifted into the back of a car, store at home, which wouldn’t need lots of space, etc.. All good, but why they started to weigh 20+ kgs in time? Although I believe that it’s a beautifully designed very nice bike, with this weight, it loses a good part of it’s ease of mobility.
Most of the weight is in the battery and motor which can't be made lighter with technology right now. The great thing with the Pro is you don't need the battery for it to sit in its folded form. This makes it considerably less weight when lifting 👍 Thanks for the comment
Thanks for the reply, these days I am searching for a foldable electric bike, that’s how I came to know the brand Eovolt. I got stuck between models pro and origins; I am trying to understand whether a 2 speed auto motor hub can be equal to a 7 speed derailleur system when climbing hills. Is it too much asking if you could make a comparison, if I have missed in the videos.
@@badabing8884 thanks a lot. Although don’t want to hijack the subject here; the new Ado Air Pro at 19 kg with 40 Nm, 2 speed auto shift, 5 Nm less than Afternoon Pro, I guess the closest competition. Honestly speaking, I liked the Eovolt bike. Haven’t seen one yet, the only thing making me think of the weight is the stairs which I need to take before putting it in the elevator. The other thing is, I can not understand the equivalence of chain gears to auto 2 speed while climbing. Yeah the videos show they are quite capable.
in 2021 I bought 2 City One 16" bikes. I thought they were expensive at 1200 quid each. With all the innovation and upgrades at 3000 quid I think this is far too expensive. Whilst we have had fun on them, If I had to do it again I would not spend the 1200 never mind 3K. That's me - you do you !
Not sure when as we are not the brand but the UK distributor but US version would have a USA spec. As the UK site we only feature products with a UK specification 👍

@@eovoltuk I have looked at your website and it says the dimensions you first stated !!!! What is going on this is very confusing and i don’t know what is correct.

Hi, what about the alim cable hanging out under the bike? Are you serious? Do you still think it's usable with this cable hanging out from below? Craps.
Lovely, needs more trees round there, love from a lancashire lass now up in Scotland. I want to bring my old 15kg terrier with me and this looks just the bike
Nice video! Would you recommend this afternoon 20" over the Morning 16"?. I'm looking in to get one of this bikes, but I'm not sure what model to get. I need one that it easy to store and don't take up to much space.
16" just for smaller journeys staying on tarmac. 20" can do that but also go further and go onto off road surfaces as demonstrated in the video. Thanks for the comment..
We initially got one 16" and one 20", but when riding them side by side, we found the Morning, even though it was a neat size when folded, just had much too much rolling resistance compared to the larger one, and the person riding it had trouble keeping up, so we took it back and swapped it for a second Afternoon. (It maybe that there was something wrong with ours.). Very pleased with the Afternoons.
Got this bike a few months ago for the main reason of storing it in my hallway and not wanting to deal with handlebars sticking out, my only complaints with the bike are the pedals it comes with are made of quite poor material and crack very easily, especially if you’re pedalling hard up a hill, and I’ve had a few issues with the chain coming off the bike, as well as the rear derailleur being a bit flimsy (but that may just be my preference for belt gears / internal hubs on city bikes).
Might be worth getting a quick service to check cable stretch on your gears which is normal. New Pro bikes now have upgraded pedals developed with Eovolt with a non slip more robust design. Expect those to go across the whole range in 2025. Thanks for the feedback
Hello there. After driving 2000 km in a year, I can say that the Eovolt Afternoon 2023 has a very bad Nutt brake system. In addition, I had problems with the gear shifter. I changed the gear shifter and the brake system from the manufacturer Shimano is being installed.
My wife and I have each have a Confort. Great bike, which we have enjoyed in our rides mainly from Kendal to Sedbergh and surrounding villages. Owned just over 2 years, reliable to date, apart from the rear lights on both bikes which when switched on, either do not light up at all or flicker intermittently. But otherwise great fun and easily transportable in the car. I have contacted customer service this morning , to see if they can help with the rear lights. Awaiting a call back. Will update when I have a response from them
We have rear lights as a spare part, also worth keeping in mind the back of the rear racks have a place where you can attach any USB rechargeable light that are very bright compared to coin battery lights.

@@eovoltuk Thanks for the reply. I live in Manchester so it's not too far away. By the way I didn't check my last post which was hijacked by the infernal auto correct feature on my phone. It should read "non-e bike" and not "non-existente".
It is part of the pro range but has been pushed back to 2025 launch. Supply chain has been heavily effected by the shipping chaos in the Red Sea. 20" Pro available in selected retailers 1st week of July.
Thanks. I’ll be looking to part exchange my Eovolt Confort next year and am attracted to the Pro 16” for its upgrades and lighter weight. I’ve just had my 76th birthday and I find the 20” Confort is beginning to be a little too heavy for me.
