How is that RF out in the sun? I have the HDHU right now, and in direct sunlight, you cannot see a damn thing. It completely washes it out. I like the features, but have contemplated going back to my factory for that very reason.
So each pair have their own channel? I’m in homestead you guys in Miami sorry I didn’t get the reply. I been looking for someone to help with my setup.
@@poncedabarber9552 What is the rest of the build. Also note, this video is almost 4 years. Today I would suggest other speakers and tweeters, such as, B&C 6NDL with Diamond Audio M1SRT tweeters, or the B&C 6CXN36. Feel free to contact me for more information. Gil, Sr. (787) 460-7100
Have a road king no tourpack just bags. Want to run a set of carbon fiber 8s and a set of tweeters in the lids on just one amp. Which amp would you recommend to do it all. Thanks from south carolina
I would not use the 8MR500-CF from PRV for your setup. I would strongly suggest the following: Ciare CME201 8” driver Diamond Audio M1SRT Tweeters Soundigital 1200.4 2-ohms Daytone Audio, Rockford Fosgate, or Mosconi Atamo 4/6 DSPs.
How do you wire the tweeters. I’m assuming u wiring them in parallel with the 8s with a bass blocker. My question is how do u not blow them if ur pushing hella power to the 8 ?
The tweeters are independently connected because we are running a DSP. Please note, this set up is almost four years ago. The amplifier is absolute. Nevertheless, but the new amplifiers available and tea harnesses this build with the same drivers still sound amazing and within reasonable price range.
That is correct. The 18 Sounds are amazing drivers, they just don’t work as well in “motorcycles” as we wish they did. It’s not they are not great, it’s just it’s not suited for motorcycle applications.
@@97gmc97 if you’re combining them with a larger mid base, I would’ve run them approximately 100-115hz, HP / 3kHz LP, -12db LWR for the Woofer. 2.2kHz / Open for the horn
Gill, does the built in crossover and eq affect the high and low level outputs? Or can you run tweeters on the high level with a high pass crossover and then a mid range band passed on the low level thru an amp?
Out of all the speakers ive heard over the years the polk mm's are the best so far other then the old infinity kappas from around 20yrs ago. Those polk mm's remind me of those. I like to look at the ts parameters, mainly the fs rating. The polk's mm series have the lowest. Nothing comes close unless you're ready to spend several hundred more. Perfect speakers for a great price that's for sure. 😎👍👍
It depends on the amp(s) and the other speakers you currently have. You can’t add an outer pod that will play over the rest of your stuff, and you may or may not have enough amp power to add outer pod speakers
We respect your opinion. We feel the same way about other brands. Note, we did our best to do the most unbiased reviews as possible since we are dealers for both brands.
What bags are you using? 10W64 are on this bike, open reinforced OEM CVO style bags on a 1600.1. But the new 10BG76 are amazing as well. instagram.com/reel/C1E_wXar8o3/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
@@mgss0007 Contact me and let’s talk about your build. I may have a better suggestion depending on the work you’re going to do with your bags. Send me your POC at the below. MotorcyclesSoundSystems@gmail.com
Unfortunately the question cannot be answered in a vacuum. Tri Glides have many options… depends on the rest of the build and how much are you willing to invest into dampening the trunks vibrations and rattles
@@danielzamora3769 Still contact us because it is not that simple, nor should you let anyone fool you with a quick answer without speaking to you about specifically what you are doing, and what are the pro or cons of what can be done.
Please email us your POC and we will contact you. We don’t like disclosing customer’s cost on Social Media out of respect to our customers. Thank you for understanding. MotorcyclesSoundSystems@gmail.com
I'm thinking about buying this unit, I have the RF Stage 3. My only issue is I have an Android phone. Not so concerned about viewing maps, but if I can connect my phone to listen to music.
It will read the phone as a USB. You can also connect via BT. The phone will connect, be read, and charge. Feel free to contact us via email if you wish to purchase one. We can help you with your purchase. MotorcyclesSoundSystems@gmail.com
@@motorcyclessoundsystems-mi2785 I ended up buying the RF last week, it seems to perform well. I am able to run full android auto using a ZZAIR DUO adapter. It takes a few seconds to boot but overall seems to work so far. One thing I wish the RF radio had is more bike information. It only has miles ridden since last service. I wish the radio had some of the basics like speed and weather temps and clock info when powered off. The auto volume doesn't adjust very well when coming to a stop, I have to keep manually adjusting the volume. I actually do miss these things from the original radio.
We currently have access to sell the driver. $325 each, shipped. Any MB will best work in bags that do not have OEM speakers lids. If you are using an 8” speaker lid, ensure to use an enclosure to separate the driver from the 10”. A Beyma 8” bucket is the best answer for that. Although, for such a small bag, we strongly suggest the FaitalPro 10RS350, $230 each, shipped
Out of respect to the customer, we will not disclose that out in the open. Feel free to contact us directly via email with your POC and we can fully discuss the build . MotorcyclesSoundSystems@gmail.com
