I loved staying at the Crockett, helping Gary hang the portrait of young Crockett, reenacting the story of the battle out front, and just being with the people. I miss it all.
I like smoked turkey , i will only eat turkey 1 of 2 ways, i prefer smoked , but i also like deep fried , i make both at home & folks can keep their roasted turkey , not a big fan
Hey Yolo TX TV, here's a tip for promoting a town: NEVER, EVER show a museum tour in the first minute of a video, or at all. This is the 2020's and absolutely nobody gives a sh1t for museums. Gex-Z can't read and Gen-Y is bored to death of anything historical. The crowd that is likely to be interested is already dead or at the hospice center. Otherwise, you have good content.
You don't need to blow all your money and buy a ton of stuff to feel like you've had fun. Bring some comfortable walking sneakers and about 80 dollars and you can have fun just walking around enjoying some food and taking in the vibes and the atmosphere.
I am an 80 year old widow, and I hope to go this November (2024) and camp in the campground, by myself! I am so looking forward to attending, because this will be my first ever REN Festival! I am planning to hand sew a Norman lady’s dress, and will also wear a 16th century Spanish court lady garb. I have my persona, as to why I am wearing a Spanish outfit in England. Can’t wait!
At arts fest everyone’s all to em selves basically lol just buy one art and go home that kinda day, ren fest is friendlier that’s where ya stay all day
I lived on Galveston for two years. And during those two years I grew to appreciate living on the island. I make an annual trip to see friends and go fishing. It’s my preference but I always look forward to going there. The drive through Houston I could do without through.
Stay away. This is absolutely not worth it especially if you've been once before. It has become an overpriced Tourist trap. What once was fun is not anymore as they needle you for every dime they can.
A fun anecdote. My boss’s daughter escorts VIPs, movie scouts and producers around the area when they visit. She told my boss not a few of them prefer the Crockett Hotel over the Menger. If they have stayed at both, that is. I was surprised but now that I see this wonderful tour, I think I see why.
“Drink lots of water in between.” Me: 😂 I’m just gonna be drinking water. I want to try mead so bad but when you’re allergic to vinegar/fermented food any form of alcohol is just not an option…unless you no longer wish to breathe 😂😭
I live in Texas born and raised and live about an 1hr and a half away from Galveston and Charles Barkley wasn’t lying that water is brown and murky. He made the people mad as hell by saying that lol. Now I will say Galveston the island itself it pretty, but I can’t tell you the last time i been in that nasty water, and certain spots have dangerous rip currents. My wedding was in Galveston ❤
Met a lovely lady in T G Hughes in clydebank shopping centre glasgow today, we had a nice chat, she said her son was a part owner in the celt & a whiskey taster, I'm just wondering if Jerry rice was her son in the video, the lovely lady told me to goggle it, but I watched it on RU-vid fantastic pub. 🍀🇮🇪🍀🇮🇪🍀🇮🇪👌
I do believe Vinland were white supremacy back in the day, not sure if that is still around. I would be careful with em, more so a gang than a welcoming community especially towards other Viking communities. If the leaders don’t agree than the Jarls (which are the leaders) can say if they’re people can meet or not and than u have recruiters, and “Higher Ups”. So more gang like but under our noses. Not just Vinland tho I’m sure there are more like that around the world not hating just spreading awareness cause these are things they don’t say until u join.
